And they didn't come get me.
This reminds me of the discussion with the gun people. I have my gun so I am safe, let them come. Great, but what is going to happen when you have to deal with disease is your gun going to protect you then? For example it is well known that HIV can turn into cancer and the longer people live the greater their chances are of that happening. Esp for people that continue to be active in their sin and debauchery. Your protection is to choose good health. If people do not choose good health then they should not be surprised if they get sick. Trusting in doctors or in man is not going to help people that do not choose to live a healthy life style. God gives us a choice, life or death, sickness or health, blessing or curse, poverty or prosperity. Everyone has to make that choice for themselves and no one can make that choice for you. No matter how much we want to blame others for the bad choices that we make. Going to a doctor is not going to cure you if you do not do what the doctor says to do to live a healthy life. Man is not going to help you if you are not willing to do what you need to do to help yourself.

They didn't have to.

Look at what all you threw overboard:

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Hebrews 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Ah, so I was once enlightened, but after my personal enlightenment, I am no longer enlightened. O so I am being told.

Enlighten me, please. How do you know that evolution is so complicated, that even God could not make it happen?

You tell me.

You want to give testimony that you were "once where we are now," then pony up.
Enlighten me, please. How do you know that evolution is so complicated, that even God could not make it happen?
God could have made evolution happen, but His diary says otherwise.

This thread is making my head spin. Evolution is too complicated for God. Frequently smart people cannot tie their shoes. Every time you pray for it to stop raining it stops. Imagine a 45 record with heaven on one side and hell on the other. If you don't believe this stuff, they will come get you. If you screw around, your gun won't kill cancer cells.

Did I end up on the Alex Jones site by mistake?

I'm gonna see if a cup of coffee clears things up for me.

Check the fossils.

We are told in Psalm 91:11 "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;" If God is going to watch over and protect us then what do we have to be worried about? The people that need to be worried at the ones that do not allow God to protect them and keep them safe and out of harms ways.

"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing." Matthew 23:37

Why are you asking that question?
Because I want to know the answer.
Haven't my last several post clearly presented my objection to your estimates?
No, your last several posts have:
a) Presented no coherent objections to anything. You don't like my estimates of what the mutation rate had to have been, but appear unable to say why.
b) Stated that you're not attempting a rational argument.
c) Had nothing whatever to do with the rate of beneficial mutations, which is what my question concerned.

I have already pointed out you can't compare the mutation rate of bacteria to humans.

Your profile ('atheistic evolution') says He didn't.
If we refer to the fossil record figuratively as "footprints in the sand" of time, then my profile says nothing about there being no "footprints in the sand". The figurative footprints are indeed there, and they clearly show that life progressed from point A to point B.

This reminds me of the famous story of the footprints in the sand, in which the footprints tell of a man walking with Jesus. When one set of footprints is missing "those were the times I carried you". And Christians seem to have no problem grasping that. The man gets from point A to B, and only sometimes leaves footprints. The evidence is clear that, even though he did not leave footprints all the way, the man that started at point A ended up at point B.

Likewise with fossils, although we do not have nearly all the fossils between point A and point B, there are enough there that we can easily conclude that the biosphere "traveled" from point A (single celled creatures) to point B (modern life).

You (conveniently?) left out a very important word.

Remember saying this?
His footprints in the sand say he did.

How did you go from "His footprints" to "footprints"?

Here's a footprint of a dino stepping into a humans footprint.

How did you go from "His footprints" to "footprints"?
By using the delete key.

Whether we call the ultimate principle behind the universe "nature's god", or "it", or "he', or "the force behind it all" doesn't really matter.

Then why did you use the DELETE key?
