I think NDE's are nothing more than the brain dealing with impending death and attempting to make it as peaceful as possible.A biological function of the human anatomy.

Exactly. It's interesting that they've replicated NDEs on pilots experiencing excessive G-forces.

You have to wonder--if near-death experiences are really something supernatural, then how is it that we can induce them under circumstances when no one's really in any danger at all? Do the "spirits" not know that no one's going to die?
