Because it was an ironic and sobering reminder that the bearer of that serial number was not a manufactured object--despite the presence of the number--but a child of God.
Not a refutation of my position, however, because the number was not put on by the maker. Only men do things like that.

hebrew. although thanks for the effort but i dont think its realy necessary to translate it. i believe i usually understand most of the post in general (apart from several words here and there).

No, you can think design pretty likely, but you can't prove design from that. The purpose of ID is to prove design in nature so the IDists can shove their particular religion up our noses.

Language is a type of pattern unique to living organisms specifically, and the only species we are aware of with a written language is ours. That is an unnatural pattern that something such as random depositing of shells by the movement of waves will not produce.

That's not to say that nature cannot produce scratches and grooves, etc., that resemble letters or words. The particular example you gave is just too exact to likely be the result of a natural process.

Something that is rather interesting: you'll find plenty of natural formations that superficially resemble animals, but I can't find a single one that superficially resembles something like a car or a computer. Even the very shape of these man-made objects deviate so much from natural shapes that you don't see anything close in nature.
