  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

First thing that caught my eye this morning while playing bible roulette ...

You know where you open the bible and wherever the finger stops is what you read ...

You can also play it with a mouse and your laptop or PC if you have bible software. Just put the pointer on the slider and click or drag and then let go to see what you find.

This was my morning gem:

Psalm 25:4–5 (NKJV)

No cheating now ... none of that pick and choose.

Lets have fun with bible roulette

I played Bible Rulette for years with NO problem. I did have to discern when God was with me on it and when He was not, even as we have to discern His voice, lest I would be led astray. God doesn't lead us to suicide, condemnation, or sin. Then I joined a certain church. The senior pastor told me that I was "right on" "every time" I gave a verse of Scripture. Then his wife found out my mode of operation was Bible Roulette and she came against me and said it was water witching with my fingers as being the sticks. So, being weak and thinking I have to follow all leadership where ever they lead, I quit doing it. Then I started getting in trouble with the Senior Pastor all the time for being "right off" "out of the Spirit", "missing the boat". It also wreaked havoc with my relationship with God because I wasn't able to hear Him as well. But I did grow in other areas with Him and other modes of hearing Him. I have since went back to Bible Roulette and enjoy a closer relationship with Him. Is God big enough to make your finger land on something He wants you to read? I think so. I get tired of people putting Him in a box. As far as pagans doing the same thing, Well of course! Satan always mimics God.

Proverbs 6:11

So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

Ok, had to think about this a bit....

it's saying that poverty shall come upon us like a "prowler" and like an armed man, rob us.

Here iswhat I got today in Bible Roulette:
1) Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

2) John 8:16 And yet if I judge, my judgement is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

3) Acts 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. Is. 42:1 Behold My Servant, Whom I uphold; Mine Elect, in Whom My Soul delighteth; I have put My Spirit upon Him: He shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. Isaiah 42:1-7 (Read thru verse 7. It is good.) Matt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His Name JESUS; for He shall save His people from their sins.
