Go to a smilie site, or wherever you see something you'd like to use as an image - right click on it with the mouse / choose properties / copy the url address of the image / go to the post reply or post topic / put your cursor in the box where you want the image / clcik the image icon at the top tool bar in the advanced poster (it looks like a picture) / then paste the address you copied into the window it opens. Hit okay, and it should show up in your message.

why did my last post end up a box with an x in it rather than the smiley face I tryed to post??

I used

type [img ] before and [/img ] after, without the spacesafter. Sometimes the img has to be capitalized
