I'd like to encourage anyone here who is struggling with something.

The best way we can encourage each other is by not focusing so much on appearances. Sure we want someone attractive who finds us attractive. But I wish there were a way to see someone's soul at first sight. Looks are great but there's no substitute for honesty, integrity, morality, and a good heart.

Men-I just like them. I like it when they open a door, sing praises, dance with me without stepping on my toes or making me fall. I really like it when one that I like likes me back. They will kill bugs. It's one of the reasons I'm glad I had a son.

Me-I got my last paper in for school with 7 minutes to spare. Yeah!!!!!!!

Yeah, there are some awesome people on the singles forum. I'm fairly new to this particular forum and look forward to getting to know all of you in more detail.

For today, I will give a word of encouragement to jenster, because she's got a really awesome personality and is a good conversationalist on threads.

And also to journey rain, because she seem to be struggling with some issues at presnet but is still pressing on toward her calling.

What I like about men: (please pardon the blanket generalizations) They tend to be bolder and more direct than women. They will change your tire for you, clear your garbage disposal, help you move, and do other manly things for you. They can lift heavy things and reach high objects. When they're gentlemanly/chivalrous, it's enough to make a girl swoon. They look equally good in work clothes and suits. They're generally not uptight about their body image. They tend to be lower-maintenence than women (whopping generalization here, I know). They can make your heart go pitty-pat with a smile and a compliment.

Why I'm a good catch: I'm a good listener, but not pushy if he's not up to talking. I'm caring, faithful, and patient. I put God first and expect him to do the same. I like to laugh as much as I like to talk about serious stuff. I like to explore new places as much as I like to hang out at home. I'm low-maintenence. And when Mr. Macrina does finally show up someday, I'll give him lots of wonderful smoochies just for him.

I'd also like say "hey" to anyone who is feeling low today. Although no one's been in your exact situation, we've all been through something in our lives that's left us feeling sad or even hopeless. As much as it hurts to be where you are right now, please know that God will see you through it. He's always faithful. He's a million times more faithful than the most faithful person you've ever known. He'll give you strength, support, healing, humor and -- most of all -- His presence. Tell Him how you feel, and trust that He wants to transform your sorrow into dancing.
