  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The scissor sisters are totally amazing .... they have only released one album so far , but what an album!

They have a license to print money at the moment , their debut album has very good song writing ability , be prepare for a bit of swearing and a few dodgy lyrics , that is the trend today I am afraid...

Also they are a band of guys with only one female :D

If you like catchy songs , piano and guitar in music and great vocals you should like them , they stole the show at Glastonbury festival UK this year.

Some of their songs remind me of The Beatles , also Elton John and even America.

I bought the album after I heared them live in a studio on the radio ....they sang Mary live , I thought WOW , this reminds me of 'America' ....I love 'America' so I immediately ordered it. Fantastic!

Al;so worth bearing in mind they are a fun band with a sort of Disco sound opn several tracks , even doing a modern upbeat version of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" which I didn't know at the time , I just sat there and after a while , I thought "I know these words from somewhere" :D

They have upset a few Pink Floyd purists.......... not me though , I thought it was a tremendous cover!

i really enjoy most of their songs although i havent bought their album yet i probably will soon, they may not be totally original but at least theyre different from alot of other bands about right now
Back in April I went to the House of Blues in Anaheim (CA) to see the B-52's. A band I never heard of called "Sissor Sisters" was one of the support acts.

When they hit the stage, I was intrigued by how unique they looked... none of them fit togther and they looked like they should be in totally different bands. But when they started playing, everything started to fit! While I was dissapointed with some of the cussing and sexual themes, they put on a great show and had some great songs.

If the label gets behind them (ie: spends $$$ on promotion/airplay/exposure) I think they'll be really big.
