While I do enjoy parts of that movie (and laugh my distorted little head off at the cocconut-swallow and the "Bring ou your dead" scenes) I don't find satire toward God as humorous at all.

The I would not take the microchip implant, no matter how convenient, I'd rather cary some kind of card.

Or maybe I will just move somewhere in the middle of nowhere and aise my own food and, make my own home remedies ;) I may not live as long, but I think it'd be worth the sacrafice.

Here is two more cents....

I think the mark of the beast is going to be something that seems very acceptable to the world. Something that seems okay. Something that even that might even seem to bring about some form of use to the world's people.

I say would say that chip implanting is a very viable candidate. And the younger generations will be more acceptable of a Satanic symbol than a generation ago. If this becomes a law at some point in the future, may not be near, look up and see if you see Jesus coming.

This is a start. It may not be in the form that the antichrist needs yet, but it could very well be what becomes the mark of the beast.

They cannot track you using the chip. Not even with fancy satellites.

You know why? Because you have to give off a signal. A big enough signal that three satellites can pick you up and triangulate.

With GPS recievers, that's no big deal. After all, it just needs enough juice to recieve the signals of GPS satellites. GPS beacons are an entirely different matter.

Sticking something poweful enough to emit a discrete, distinct GPS signal through your body would require a lot more juice than this little chip has.

Paranoia often clouds facts.

So? Don't put one with that capacity in your body.

It's not rocket science, you know. If it's a bloody GPS beacon, it's not hard to find out. And it's not like they're easy to overlook. It's not something you can subtly hide in the circuitry.

It's amazing to watch the paranoia unfold about a simple chip, and hear nothing about Poindexter's new operation. The one the Senate approved today.

I absolutely disagree with you on this. I believe that the technology to implant the GPS info into a chip is not only feasible, but is being done, as we speak. We don't have any IDEA of the capacity of the technology that the government hides from us.

They can track animals with satellites that have chips implanted in them...... why not humans?

And also, have you seen the commercials for those wristwatches that you give to your kids so youcan pinpoint exactly where they are? *raised eyebrows* And that's just what they're offereing to the public.......

It really wasn't intended to mock God. It was to mock the "666" superstition, or at least that's what he said when they had the marathon on Comedy Central. That was one of the viewer comments he answered.

I don't care if the goverment can track me they can already track everything you do one the internet and i'm fine with that. I think it's good the chips in the future could have techonology that could let people know if you are lost in the woods or something. Or if you are having problems with your heart or something else in your body you could probably get to the doctor faster cause they would know where you were.

Paranoia. How lovely. What sort of education do they give these days?

Let me talk slowly: In order to track where you are, the object has to emit a signal. It has to emit a strong enough signal to be picked up by satellite, if you want instant tracking.

Okay? So, your little "chip" has to have the circuitry required to send out a signal, as well as the battery or whatnot to meet the power requirements.

These aren't hard things to spot, you know. You might not be able to, but I know a dozen engineers offhand who could.

Not to mention, frankly, that even if all that fails, the bloody signal can be detected with simple equipment.

They can track animals with satellites that have chips implanted in them...... why not humans?
Um, are you talking radiotags? Have you seen them? They're rather large. They're not implanted, they're tagged. It's like lugging around a wallet.

And also, have you seen the commercials for those wristwatches that you give to your kids so youcan pinpoint exactly where they are? *raised eyebrows* And that's just what they're offereing to the public.......

Yeah. Shortrange, bulky, and rather obvious.

Why are you in a knot over this, but you don't seem to be upset by Poindexter's new office? You know, the one that's how the government actually will track you and collect information about you?

Do you just prefer to worry about things that aren't real?

Edited for crude comment; bordering on breaking Rule 4 (no offensive posts). Please watch your words of expression. Thank you.

Can you say harsh? I am VERY educated on this subject, and do not trust my government one bit. I am extremely concerned over the new office tracking every little thing about me. That scares me half to death.

However, since I won't be here when all of this takes effect anyway, you're right, why worry about it? :)

Don't let it. The Department of Homeland doesn't give a rip about you unless they have a good reason to or you start talking about violently overthrowing the governement.

NSA is probably listening to your phone calls, but only passively, because there are A LOT of people in this country and MANY MANY more in other countries, and they can only focus on the one's that are dangerous.

Seriously, the government OWNS me, but they still let me live my life, they still let me make mistakes and they still let me getaway with speeding on the freeway, because they have MUCH bigger fish to fry.

I don't htink you're paranoid, but I do think that you are letting this worry you too much.

I am the first one to agree that you should never get complacent about losing your freedom, I am all for gun rights, and I also see the irony in the ACLU's agenda, but I wouldn't worry. As long as you vote for good leaders, you have nothing to worry about, that's what makes this country so stinkin' awesome!

I think that this will be used to implement the Mark of the Beast personally, but that is my two cents!

You may be right , look at what the government is actualy doing in the area of personal identification technology .

No. Because they can't track you without the bloody chip emitting a powerful signal, that can be detected with cheap and widely available electronics.

In other words, they can't do it and keep it secret. We'ld all know if the chips were doing that.

My question is: Why are you worrying about a chip that doesn't exist, and that even if it were engineered to do what you say, there's absolutely no way it would be a secret, so you could choose for yourself, instead of agitating about the real way they'd track you?
