CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's SO good to have a place to pour out all the things that are irritating you.. ARGHHH!! The christian work among the youth in my church has collapsed totally, tomorrow we are supposed to have a "gathering", as we call it, where we pray, sing and yeah. All sorts. BUT! I haven't heard about this AT ALL, before just now, and a friend of mine, who is also in my church, has invited to a kind of a party at her place, because NONE of the youths have heard about the youth gathering in our church! How ironic is THAT? Grrrr....

A woman screamed at me in the grocery store parking lot today and would not stop. My only remarks were "I am sorry" and "Thank you." I had bumped a grocery cart (not mine) that went sprawling through the parking lot. It was raining. I had just had one of those horrible experiences inside where there was a technical problem at the register. Everybody behind me was disgruntled because it held up the line. I just wanted out of there. Having someone scream time after time, get out of her car, and move my car behind my car so I could not get out... it was just too much drama for me.
