Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
At times while setting here at my desk, I think of all the wonderful things that God has brought into my life and I feel truly blessed.
The trasformation he has made, and continues to make in my life, leaves me speechless and amazed at His greatness. I cannot understand why anyone would reject Him. But there are millions who never give any thought to their creator or have any desire to know Him. Maybe their assessment of those who serve God, proves to be no different then the life they are living.
We can shout scriptures throughout the streets, we can tell them all the wonderful things God has done and about how Jesus came and died so that they may be saved. It is all true but what do they see in us?
People are seeking something real, something that will make a difference in their life. Every soul everywhere longs for their creator.
When they look into our eyes, do they see Jesus?
Is there an opportunity for them to meet their creator?
Is His love occupying our hearts?
Is His character evident in all that we do?
Are we different?
Is there any evidence in our life that backs up the words that we speak?
God has placed His light within us through the Holy Spirit. We have a responsibility to allow the light of the Holy Spirit to be clearly identifiable in our lives. Not dimly but to shine brightly!
The Holy Spirit makes available to them, the ability to know between the truth and lie, between good and evil.
It is then, that their soul will realize what it has been searching for.
Prayer
You have filled me with the light of Your Spirit Lord, I praise You and thank You.My heart aches for those who have not come to love you and to know You, let your Holy Spirit be evident in my life, let them see that You have made a difference in me and that You desire to make a difference in them.
Let them discover the treasure of You, that you may be exalted and they find what their souls are searching for.
