"Let There Be Peace OnEarth"

Did anyone watch the Boston Pops ( I think??) Concert broadcast last night?

A wonderful singer sang "Let There Be Peace On Earth" but the lyrics were, as far as I know, changed.

"..with God as our Father, brothers all are we, let me walk with my brother, in perfect harmony." was changed to "....with friends as my neighbors, neighbors all are we, let me walk with my nighbors..." (or changed to something like that).

Whaddya all think of that. I thought it was silly. Is there something wrong with mentioning God the Father?

Well yesterday I heard that Bette Midler song something about my wings.....anyway, I heard the end where she sings, "O Come Let us Adore Him, and peace to all.." or something just so it doesn't say Christ the Lord. I guess I had never listened that closely since I usually listen to Christian music but that just kinda....made me feel funny.
