I ADORE Les Mis... I have a video of a concert performance of "Little Fall of Rain" on my CF homepage if anyone would like to enlighten themselves... Is it just me, or is Les Mis not amazing?

One of my favorite quotes from Les Mis, the book: "I agree, let's weep together for all the innocent, all the martyrs, all the children, humble as well as mighty. I'm for that. But then, as I said, we must go further back than '93, and our tears must start before Louis XVIII. I will weep for the children of kings with you, if you will weep with me for the children of the people." G--, page 13

My favorite song from Les Mis? Toughie... I'd have to say either "Come to Me" or "Little Fall of Rain"

I read the book back in 7th grade because I was crazy then, and by God I still am.

It's really a magnificent book, and arguably an even better show. My favorite song, hands-down, is "Stars," because it expands upon Javert's character in an incredibly profound way. Plus, it's really pretty and I sing it well.

I love the show. I think I've seen it 7 or 8 times. My favorite quote from the musical is at the end "To love another person is to see the face of God". I have favorite quotes in the novel too, but at the moment I can't find my copy of the book, when I do I'll post them. My fave song would probably be, "Who am I?". I love the moral struggle he goes through in that song. But I do get emotionally touched by all of Valjean's music. I do love Javert's though too--love Terrence Mann's version of "Stars".

I love Les Mes. My favorite songs are either the opening Chain Gang/Look Down or Master of the House.
Look Down because I love how it sounds and the voices.
Master of the House because I used to be a landlord. (But not like Thenardier)

I performed 'Castle on a Cloud' for one of my exams, love the simplicity of the messages in the music of Les Mis, just beautiful.
