they can use legal things, smokers get cancer, why would u smoke if you got cancer that way

Heavy smokers(those who smoke one or more packs of cigarettes) are the ones who are at true risk for cancer. A Marijuana cigarette is about 3 times as bad as a regualr tobacco cigarette. However, cancer rates are much lower amoung marijuana smokers because most of them only do it on rare occasions.

actually, I remember reading that, whilst it is exceptionally addictive, heroin causes very little long-term damage - certainly in comparison with marijuana.

if clean needles are used, the worst people are likely to suffer is a problem with their veins - and that is assuming it is injected

I know someone who was a heroin addict...he was in pretty bad shape. Herion is also highly addictive, this is true. Musch more than marijuana, so the short temrm effects really become long term..

now I know that Marijuana can be slightly addictive, but most people wont come to depend on it like heroin. I never said anywhere that marijuana was good for you either, just relaxing. But I still think its not too different for alcohol. It can be used festively, and spiritually, I wouldent recommend letting anyone drive with it or anything, just as I wouldent fr some who had a few too many glasses of wine at passover or what ever.

also, isnt the hemp itslf useful enough to make marijuana legal?

All which have lower risks of getting them then in ciggarettes for that matter, you can get liver damage far quicker than any of those you have mentioned,"permanent damage of thinking and reasoning" some of those that you have posted is a load of crock!

You're right... cigarettes should be illegal. And as for your crock comment... are you a doctor?

Cigarettes have 100x more of a risk of what was listed then marijuana and it is proven... Google search it, I have my facts on it, I don't need to work for ya, I know there is proof...

Anyone who smokes and doesn't smoke is at true risk for cancer associated with smoking.

smoking is bad for you... so is marijuana... legalise pot?

why do you want to make a bad situation worse?

alcohol causes a lot of damage, it can be addictive, but it is legal, so lets legalise heroin.

Common sense dictates that cigarrette use would go down if pot were legalized and in places where pot has been legalized heroin use has gone down.

You should try reading before replying ;) I agreed that cigarettes are more dangerous... I even said I think they should also be illegal. But again, I'm asking you: why do you think you're qualified to say that the symptoms of pot use that were listed are wrong? Nobody's asking for proof... what did you say your first language was again?
