I am plugged into several ministry groups, but my spouse and I do not attend a local church. After 5 years of living here and visiting so many churches we lost count, we just decided it was no longer worth the hassle. We give to the body in a variety of ways and are involved in face-to-face ministry in our community.
If you see a need for a ministry, you should be the one to start it. Notice I didn't say a need to go have pizza and watch a movie. I said the need for a ministry. All of the other group programs run by the church (youth, married couples, etc) are organized for the purpose of ministry. If fellowship with like-minded believers is what you want, take it upon yourself to make it happen. Use networking and social media to find people in your area with similar values. Then just start reaching out to them.
