 I first started reading there books, after I was born again. My mother n law (not at the time) talked about these books. I read the first one and was really shocked because I knew nothing about the Rapture and Tribulation.

I have to say it has motivated me to become a loving Christian, and want to learn more.

I can't help to become attach to the characters and fall in love with them.

I am on the next to last one Armageddon.
I am going to hate to see the series end. But I am very thankful for the books. :amen:

I've read all of them and thought they were great. :) I also own both of the movies and they are great as well. I do however, like the SOON book by Jerry Jenkins better. I can't wait to read the sequel.

Also, has anyone read any of the spinoff series of the LB books?? I read the first in the Legal and Military series, but haven't gotten to the second of each or the third in the mililtary series. If you have read them, would you recommend buying or borrowing them? :help:

Thanks
JL

hi
i have also read all 12 books and enjoyed them very much - although do agree with one of the replies that the stories were a little thin at times. I have seen the first movie but bought the 2nd one from USA (i am from Australia) and it doesn't work in my dvd player.

my 11 year old daughter is reading the teenagers books (i read them first to check them out of course lol) and she loves them. hates waiting for the next book to come. We are buying them in hardcover with 3 in 1 book.

Francine Rivers is also another excellent writer.

I started the first one a few years ago, and was like, 'Wow, what a great storyline'. But as I progressed through the books I found very dull points with no engaging story going on, and sometimes the character's were very thin and unbelievable. I reached until the eighth book until I just got plain bored with the series.

I read the 1st 5 books and quit- I got tired of waiting for the next book- often I would read them so quickly that when the next one came out, I would have to reread the last one to catch up to read the new and know what was going on. I finally gave up and just waited until they have all come out. Now, I have all of them, I just haven't gotten around to rereading the first few to get back into them. What I read I loved- just got tired of the waiting game. Not encouraged by the comments that the later books get thin the story and character departments.

Hmmmm, I have not read these books but have heard about them. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they about the end times and the "rapture?" Being a Catholic I don't believe in this rapture everyone else is so caught up in. You are going to believe in some man made prophecy that is only about 100 years old. I don't get it. But this is what we get when people take the bible too literally.

No one shall be left behind...
2 Timothy 2:4 "No man, being a soldier to God, entangleth himself with secular businesses; that he may please him to whom he hath engaged himself."

There is so much more behind the end times or the Book of Revealations than what these books claim with its broken theology. Therefore, I cannot and will not read them.

Wild Fan,

I do not believe in the Rapture either. However, my Pastor read the books as if it was science fiction. I swore I'd never read them, but here I am enjoying my first installment of it. To me, it may be science fiction when talking about the Rapture, but the other parts are interesting, suspenseful and also make you think about your own walk with God.

We have the movie, but I haven't read any of the books.

Personally, I don't agree with the pre-trib rapture from what I've read in the Bible and the history of the pre-trib doctrine. I do want to read the books though out of curiosity. I'd like to see how they describe the tribulation. *sigh* Simply saying we won't be in it, is setting up a lot of Christians for trouble. ;_; But that's a different topic for a different forum. ^_^

Yes, I agree I could read them for the science fiction aspect. I am pretty well educated in my faith to know what is right or wrong. However, I think these books along with many other books are leading people to false doctrines which in turn has cuased people to worry. My take on it, why worry. Well I know why with what the Mass is. But those that don't are only confusing themselves.

Anyone read the "Christ Clone Trilogy"? It is written by James BeauSeigneur. Much better than Left Behind, I think at least. It is from the viewpoint of non-christians, and leans heavily into new age religious ecumenicalism(?). In fact some new age group endorsed the first book. I would have liked to seen their shocked faces, when they finally realized what the books were about.

The movie was ok.

I love the books! I started on the teen books then read the adult books as well. Judd took forever to get home and they're so small that I like them less. But they're still good.
I love the adult books!!!!! I read the Glorious Appearing several months ago and jsut couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the prequels and the sequel!
