Lessien, I think he was just providing an analogy. Essentially it's like contrasting statements like, "I disagree with the Republican party," and "anyone who votes Republican is racist" (or choose a different label if "racist" is confusing) I think he's saying that it's OK to disagree with the Left Behind authors, but not to unfairly label them.

I actually read most of the books, I thought the first 2 or 3 were pretty good, but their readability sort of tapered off for me so I dont think I actually finished the series or got farther than those.

I saw some of the first movie but didnt think it very good.

Same here...I got to around to between 6 and 8 and they were ok but they kept going on and on. Way too many sermons in the book and the ending was way too drawn out. That said, I give the series a thumbs down for the way it ended...

From What I have read, they are working on the 4th one.

Woah...wait a sec....Who calls people who disagree with them racist? The authors? Why?

Actually, its true...
Tim Lahaye (i think I spelt that right) wrote a book (at the minute I forget tha name) that said, in firendlier words, that anyone who didn't agree with (or taught other prophecy interpretations than) the theology presented in the Left Behind books were racist, that we hated jews and were racist towards jews (in other words -- anti jewish). I didn't know this until the latter half of last year, and I am stunned that I am considered "anti-jewish" by certain people. I love jews, I am not...

But anyways, I guess it could be taken as an anology and mean the same thing as well . But it is true, sady.

meh... the first two or three books were good but then it just got very monotonous and i lost all interest.

Artistically they are crap (the quality is horrid).

Theologically they aren't much better.

I've read them all. They were no brainer kind of books that I could read in one night before I had cable and dsl. Quick reads. I have no real opinion on them theologically.
