People, your deluded comments evidence why the deluded church has bought 40 million copies of this stuff. ..... Even the church gobbles it up as gospel. Why? Ignorance! 85% of the church does not read the bible. They get their doctrine from men who find the so-called Christian book stores a very lucrative outlet for sensationalism, ...

I often wondered why the world has embraced so hardily the 'Left Behind' Series.
Ever wonder why those in the world have so avidly promoted these "Left Behind" books?
Why everyone speaks so highly of them? Ever wonder why noone ever gets persecuted for promoting pre-trib philosophy?

Well, it seems to me I remember the words of Jesus:

"That which is highly esteemed among men is an abomination to God"

"Woe is you when all men shall speak well of you, for so did they speak of the false prophets".

Ever read the first one? The message of the gospel is spelled out. We are all sinners, and the only way to God is through faith in Jesus Christ, who is God Incarnate, and died on the cross for our sin and rose again on the third day and now sits at the right hand of the Majesty on High.

I often wonder why there are those who slam the books when it is obvious that so many have been reached for the Lord through them - and that is reaching them for salvation, not necessarily to be advocates of pretrib. Ever consider that God is using the books for His purposes? That He wants mankind to realize His love and the off of salvation, and that judgement is sure and inevitable?

Why everyone speaks so highly of them? Ever wonder why noone ever gets persecuted for promoting pre-trib philosophy?

You're kidding me, right? When is the last time a pretribber called you something like "hound from hell" (that was one of my personal favorites - made me laugh, though he meant it meanly), or a demon, or one of Satan's own - simply because of an endtime view? I got that and more. Didn't matter that I am born-again Christian, and try to live my life according to His will. I see pretribbers attacked personally on every messageboard that deals with the endtimes.

Well, it seems to me I remember the words of Jesus:

"That which is highly esteemed among men is an abomination to God"

So let's see - the Left Behind series promotes the gospel message, reaches folks for Christ, and is thought highly of by those reached - so it is an abomionation to God??
Get real!

There are many things the world esteems higher than the Left Behind series that pretribbers and other Christians abhore - like drugs, hip-hop, the occult, and all matter of things. The "world" does not esteem the LB series as you state. CHRISTIANS who love God esteem the message of salvation in the LB books. And the story is interesting - certainly better 'reality TV'.

These books are great. The fact of the matter is that a pre-trib look at the book of Revelation is really the only way you could write an adventure story. They are great works of fiction that include the very real and true gospel! The attacks on them are simply out of not understanding what the books are. It really doesn't matter what you believe if you look at them as fiction, they are fairly well written and fun to read. The characters are well developed and the books do not claim to be an authority on anything.

It's funny that we as Christians see it as allright to attack these works because we don't agree with the view presented. It is fiction, that needs to be remembered. You don't see scientists slamming Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash. The plain fact is that these books are fiction, they present a fun story. They are written from the only viewpoint that lends itself to an adventure setting. Why do we feel it so necessary to attack our bretheren?

It seems to me that alot of people think that just because we believe that the "catching away" of the church happens post trib, that we dont believe in a "rapture", for me this is not the case, I do believe in the rapture, I mean how can we not?, Paul tell us when this event takes place. After the "man of sin" is revealed. The Lord shall decend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first, Then we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Now this is a rapture to me, I just dont believe like Paul said, it will happen until the man of sin is revealed.


But it does get peoples dander up if you dont believe that it happens pre-trib, then all of a sudden, you just dont believe in the rapture at all.

Thats like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

We don't deny this event, just when it takes place.

It's been a while since I've been on here. I just wanted to throw out my two cents reguarding this issue. I believe that the "Left Behind" series is very thought provoking and has pointed to Jesus Christ all the way through. In easy to understand english, it has explained the plan of salvation to millions of people. Many have come to the Lord through these books.


How can you down something like that? Thought I don't agree with Tim Lahaye on everything, he does a good job of presenting the pre trib rapture. Of course, he did not go in depth because his main purpose was to let the book witness to the world and be an encouragement to us believers. Please take into consideration these thoughts.

So Typical... nonpretribbers showing this attitude toward those who are pretrib. Questioning their faith, accusing them of listening to demons, attacking them as only seeing scripture through emotional lens. It's so pathetic that folks do this. YSHUAZ_GR8_REMNANT: 1.) Yes It is, I agree w/ you there. For People to be Overly Dogmatic w/ this issue, concerning the Preparing or 'KNOT' & For experiencing the Tribulational Persecutions should equate into being Prepared for the L*RD's Return @ any Time as well as, Being Prepared for any of the Three (Pre, Mid, Post) This is the Balanced Narrow Path *Walk* of Faith Inn Heeding G*D's Holy WORD.
2.)People Like to Argue about these things to Self-Rigteously fight about Biblical issues; Especially the rapture. Because the Enemy of all of our souls has diverted their attention & Focus away from Trying to Truly Reach & Save a Lost & Dying World of which spending their time in this manner, reveals that they could care less! We're supposed to be spending our time and study of G*D's Holy WORD to Edify,lift, and Love One Another and Win the Lost at Any Cost. Please Remember, That They will Truly Know We're HIS Servants by Our Love for One Another!
Communication between believers should be Praise Reports, Encouragements and Prayer Requests. Not a Game Show or a Soap Opera.

was the attitude, the false accusations, and nastiness of posttribbers about those that see the pretrib view in scripture. Since then I have been referred to as a 'child of hell' and more from posttribbers. It is such a BAD Christian example!

OK I personally believe that wether you believe Pre or post amillianial Or whatever it is not a point worth beating people over the head....It not essanitial to salvation (imho) THERE IS NO Reason to attack people...Doesn't the bible call us to unity? I believe dicussing it in a rational manner( Iwon't say adult cause I know some that act like 2yr olds ) Is a healty excerise. It works out the brain muscules and helps you find out wht you believe...sometimes if nesscessary find out we are wrong (*gasp*) lol

I personally believe post trib.........Not that I am looking forward to the trib And It Jesus comes before I would be EXTREMLY happy...Because I would be in his presence that much sooner.

Yes, I agree w/ ya there.. Amen & Amen.. I wish for Pre-tribulation Rapture, But am ready and geared and Prepared for Middle or Post myself... That's What G*D's Holy W*RD is all about...Equipping, Warning, Preparing HIS True Saints....
I personally Can't Wait to Come Back Here riding as HIS Y'shua's Army to fix this Disaster Area... This is Our Home After All, Heaven is only a bus stop... G*D's True One & Only Goal is to bring Back The Garden Of Eden on earth, & He will Make that come to pass, As is Prophesied to happen....... We are The Eternal Land lords here and we're going to evict ha-Sa-tan and his evil genius Cohorts who so sadly deceptively fallow him off forever, soon & soon enough... Just Think The Last Generation Started in 1967 when Jerusalem got her land back, well a Generation is 49 Years.. Add them Up... The Beginning of the real Tribulation will start 2009 & all this coincides w/ The Book Of REvelation... Revelation 9: Equals 2009, then Revelation 10: Equals 2010, Revelation 11: Equals 2011, & so on and so forth.... This all just makes so much sense.. & If the Tribulation is Seven years then it would end right about or around 2016... YOU DO THE MATH....
