he stood up "we have to walk I had to leave my car behind" he started walking after about 15 minutes they were there " if you look in the fridge theres food and in the cabnet right next to it take what ever you want"

Charlie found a can of soup in the cupboard, she dug through the drawers until she found a can opener and a spoon, she opened the can, sat down on the floor in the kitchen and started to eat the soup.

"you can sit on the couch or the at the table make yourself at home and if you want more then soupe I can cook I mean its not the best cooking in the world but its good" he said

Charlie put her can down on the floor, she looked in the cupboards and the fridge pulling stuff out.

She found some pots and pans, and started cooking.

"What are you doing?" Scott asked her as she set a place at the table.

It took her about a half hour but soon she was done cooking a chicken and pasta dish with a green salad. She put some food on a plate and put it at the setting at the table. she pointed for Scott to sit down, she cleaned her mess up then sat back down in the corner of the kitchen with her soup can and spoon.

"umm thaks but I'm not really hungry you didnt have to cook I meant for me to cook for you and you can come sit at the table with me." he said kind of confused

Charlie shook her head no, and continued to eat her cold soup.

"I should go back and check on Kenneth." Nathan said to Auna, looking at his feet. He didn't really want to go home, but this place made him unable to think straight. "I just ran out on him."

 

[ondry]

"Ok, you do that," said Auna. "I'll be around here, I guess.. I don't really wanna be anywhere else." She said good-bye to Nathan and went off to see if she knew anyone else around.

Nathan jogged up the streets, heading for the house. "Kenneth?" he said as he walked through the door. No one answered. Nathan searched the house, still no one. Did he walk out? Is he gone too? After a while Nathan decided to write a note and leave again. There was something inside him longing to get back to the church.

Kat's heart started beating faster, and she just saw Kadyn hide. She was glad that Kadyn was safe, but she just didn't know what to do.

"Yo, girl, this your house?", one of the robbers said in a gruff voice. His hand rested on his gun.

Kat choked down the lump in her throat and nodded. The robber smiled evilly.

"Where's your folks?" the other one said.

Kat couldn't say anything, she was so scared that the two men would hurt her. The man shouted, "Answer me, girl!" Kat whispered, "My family's gone. All of them." The men laughed.

The first robber turned and opened her mother's jewelry box. He started to put the pearls and diamonds into his bag, but Kat shouted, "NO!" The other robber man jerked and pulled his gun out, aimed and said, "Girl, I'm gonna take whatever I want from here. Ya'll are rich." The man put down his arm and started digging around in the box. Kat shouted again, "NO!" and the second man raised his arm, aimed and pulled the trigger.

Kat dropped to the floor. In reality that man had horrible aim, and the bullet was wayy off. But she dropped so that the man thought she was dead. The two men thought they had killed her and ran off, not seeing Kadyn hiding on the front steps.

Kadyn saw the two robbers leave the house and as soon as they were far enough away, she ran into the house. She saw Kat lying on the floor and ran over to her. Kadyn knelt down next to Kat and gently shook her. "Kat? Kat! Are you alright?"

 

[Kaylee4Christ]

Kat opened her eyes slowly and sat up, big fat tears rolling down her cheeks and dropping off of her face. Kat wiped her eyes and said, "I'll be fine, are you okay?", and looked up at Kadyn, her green eyes weak and scared.

 

[Ellesar]

"I'm fine. The robbers didn't see me luckily." Kadyn gave Kat a hug, trying to make the girl feel better. "Maybe we'd better check my house also, just to be safe. I mean, we have a security system, but, you never know..."

 

[Kaylee4Christ]

Kat smiled weakly when Kadyn hugged her. She was a good girl to be friends with, she figured. Kat nodded, "Okay." and stood up. She took one last look around at her house, and took a family picture down from the wall taken just weeks before. Kat ran her fingers over it gently, put it in her knapsack, and followed Kadyn outside.

Once outside, Kadyn picked up her bike and rode the short distance to her house. From the outside, her house looked normal, but Kadyn wouldn't be able to tell if anything was wrong until she went inside. She let her bike fall on the yard and she pulled her house key from her pocket. "You wanna come inside?"

Rebekah sat and listened to Pastor Jason talk about his life and why he was left behind. He talked about missing the mark and not being raptured. When he paused you could hear a napkin fall. Each person listened sincerely or was asleep. She looked at her watch. he had talked for hours and hours and nobody budged. Not one person had gotten up to leave or use the restroom... It was amazing.

 

[Kaylee4Christ]

Kat said, "Sure. Be careful.". Her kickstand was broken, so she laid her bike down gently and stood behind Kadyn.

 

[Ellesar]

Kadyn unlocked the front door and as soon as she opened the door, a loud alarm blared. She covered her ears and said, "Well...it looks like the alarm is working." She ran and entered the code to turn off the alarm and then came back and shut and locked the door. "I'm going to turn the alarm back on, so that we can look around without anyone bothering us." She entered the code again and the alarm turned back on. Kadyn stood still for a moment and looked around sadly.

 

[Kaylee4Christ]

Kat followed Kadyn in and covered her mouth. "Oh my..." she whispered.

 

[Ellesar]

"Looks like they struck here also." Kadyn said sadly as she looked around the living room. "It must have been some smart thieves though, in order to bypass the security system." Kadyn walked into the living room, stepping gingerly through all of the papers on the floor.
