I'm sorry to hear about your brother. while you were away, he came on IM and I chatted with him for a while. He went to Heaven though. he told he that he was a believer. Congrats on becoming a Christian! I'm in Seattle. I live near New Hope Christian Fellowship. Kadyn typed to James.

Ok. Hope to see you soon! Kadyn looked back at Kat, and noticed that Rebekah wasn't standing in the doorway anymore. She stood up and walked out of the room and downstairs. She saw Rebekah watching the news, and Kadyn walked into the kitchen and made a couple sandwiches for herself and for Kat. She went back upstairs and set down one of the sandwiches next to Kat. "Here. If you get hungry." She ate her sandwich and sat back down in front of her comp.

Kat's breath were quick and her heart was beating fast. She grabbed Kadyn's hand and finally calmed down. She closed her eyes and swallowed the lump in her throat. She nodded slowly. Then opened her eyes.

"You wanna talk about it Kat?" Kadyn asked gently.

Kat sat for awhile, silent. Then spoke. "The night of the Rapture.... I was in a car with my family and we were driving..... to church. My mom and I were having an argument and suddenly they.... they all disappeared.... and then...... and then..." Kat closed her eyes and stopped. She took a few deep breaths. "The car went off the cliff.... with me in it......" Kat opened her eyes, and they were glistening with forming tears.

James got off the computer. Then he packed his brothers Bible and his laptop in his bag...then wonder how he could get the bag on Silver...so he looked around the old barn and found a huge box. That had a pretty new horse supply (a saddle, hautler,ect.) He put it on Silver and he was lucky that he found a way to wrap his bag on the horse. Then he struggle to get on the horse and started walking Silver towards the barn door. James push the door open, and start to gallop towards Seattle...

 

[Ellesar]

"I'm sorry Kat." Kadyn hugged the girl and sat next to her, offering what comfort she could. "I had argued with my mom about going to church last Sunday. I didn't want to go, but she dragged me anyway. I wasn't very good company that day, and I never did say that I was sorry to my mom. I wish that I could have said it."

"What were you doing when the Rapture occured...?" Kat asked slowly.

Nathan knocked on Pastor Jason's door. "Can I talk to you for a sec?" he said, and Jason looked up from his Bible. "Sure, have a seat." Nathan sat down. "This... Rapture. Thing. I was just wondering... Well, I'm... I want to read the stuff that you talked about at the sermon. I'd like to read it for myself. This really can't be true, I mean, that book was written like, two thousand years ago? It can't predict...!" Jason looked at him patiently, waiting for him to catch his breath. Without a word he shut his Bible and pushed it gently over the desk, towards Nathan. Hesitantly and with trembling hands he accepted it and held it in his hands. It felt hot. "I'll be outside if you need me." Jason said, smiled at him and left Nathan alone.

Kadyn looked at Kat. "I was in bed. I had stayed up late watching tv, and my mom caught me and told me to go to bed. I did, and about an hour later, I woke up feeling like something was wrong. The house was too silent. I went from room to room, and realized what had happened. The Rapture had occurred and I was left behind. Mom, Dad, Alex, and Katie were taken and I was left."

"People disappeared?" she signed looking confused. "Well I guess if you say so." she shrugged.

Kat stared at the floor. "I'm sorry." She fingered the scars on her shoulder where the seat belt had held her back from certain death so tightly. Kat flashed back to the moment when the car crashed through the guard rail. She was sure she was going to die. A far-away look came into Kat's eyes and she grew quiet.

Kadyn sat next to Kat quietly offering what comfort she could. She had brought her Bible with her, and opened it to the Gospels and began reading where she had left off.
