I was studying that Hebrews scripture just last night. I thought I saw God's sabbath in it. As if Grace is the Sabbath.
For sure. I see it that way.
We come unto Him to find rest unto our souls.

Come to Me all who toil and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls. (Matt. 11:28,29)

A major theme of Hebrews is Christ is that greater One being the reality of all the OT types, pointers, and shadows.

So I sing also about the Great High Priest- Christ.

Amen. God has opened my eyes and I'm convinced we find Sabbath rest in Jesus. Not only do we find it through the throne of grace that gives us mercy and help, but we find that rest not in what we do on a day of the week but what God does in us everyday. It's his work not ours. We don't do it but he does.

The rest expands and deepens as you enter in with others in love and harmony in the Spirit.

Understand that our rest is a reflection of His satisfaction. We feel happy and at peace because God feels that way.

I think maybe I do that as well. It's no longer the old man but the new. I am one with the spirit that we are joined to. It's no longer me but the Lord in me. I seek to edify and that is how I enter love and harmony with others.

The below passages may have already been offered, but I would suggest that another way of saying that we are "led by the Spirit" is to say that we are "controlled" by the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:14-15 NLT - "Either way, Christ's love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them."

Most Christians deny the idea of being "controlled" by the Spirit. Why? Because they aren't actually Christians who are being controlled. Instead, they are sinful people, for their Spiritual Father remains the Devil . . . who is controlling them. But will these mistaken Christians deny that Satan controls them? Of course they will, for they truly believe they are true Christians. But the truth is this: When a person is controlled by the Spirit, they will know it, for it becomes obvious that their life is no longer their own, but have been bought and purchased by the Blood of Christ. When this actually happens to a person, they are given a new Nature, the Divine Nature. The Sinful Nature is replaced with the Divine Nature and an entirely new life ensues. This is Spiritual Transformation. This is but another way of saying that true Children of God "wake up."

Romans 8:2 NKJV - "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death."

2 Peter 1:3-4 NLT - "By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world's corruption caused by human desires."

Being led by the Spirit of God is to be controlled by the Spirit of God. Changes are made within our minds and hearts so that our behaviors change. If these changes have not been made in a person's life, they need to seriously pray to God and ask for them. Why? Because God has yet to become their Spiritual Father. We all need to be praying that God would control us, for these are the prayers of our Patriarchs.

Psalm 141:3 NLT - "Take control of what I say, O LORD, and guard my lips."

Psalm 19:13 NLT - "Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don't let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin."

Psalm 51:10 RSV - "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me."

Psalm 86:11 NET - "O LORD, teach me how you want me to live! Then I will obey your commands. Make me wholeheartedly committed to you!"

1 Chronicles 29:18-19 NLT - "O LORD, the God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, make your people always want to obey you. See to it that their love for you never changes. 19 Give my son Solomon the wholehearted desire to obey all your commands, laws, and decrees, and to do everything necessary to build this Temple, for which I have made these preparations."

Psalm 119:10 NKJV - "With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!"

Psalm 119:35-37 CSB - "Help me stay on the path of your commands, for I take pleasure in it. Turn my heart to your decrees and not to dishonest profit. Turn my eyes from looking at what is worthless; give me life in your ways."

Yes, there are many more prayers such as those above. Who is praying to be controlled by God? Who desires this? And honestly, for those who have habitually struggled with sin, have they not asked the Lord to control them? Yet is these same people who deny that God does just that. Most Christians believe they have total free will, thus, there is no way that God can control them.

I agree with everything you posted. The spirit still tries to lead us out of darkness by way of preaching. If we are taught the word that we need to hear, and if we follow it, we are following the spirit. But we are not yet controlled by him as you say.

We are not yet controlled because we have not yet given up this world. The spirit in Scripture keeps urging us however.

Just as the Light that shone upon the Israelites that caused them to understand and obey, being led and controlled by the Spirit has the same Effect. Anyone with the Spirit of God within them will be controlled by the Spirit and consequently will reflect His Glory more and more throughout their life. Those who are not controlled by the Holy Spirit do not belong to Christ "at all."

2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT - "So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord--who is the Spirit--makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image."

Romans 8:9 NLT - "But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)"

My life proves (to me) that I am under the control of God, for I have not been able to determine my path since my Powerful Indwelling and subsequent Transformation.

This is true but Paul once didn't follow Jesus but it was God's will in the beginning that Paul would do the works that he created in the beginning.

Right. God would keep Paul alive so that the Lord's message to the Gentiles would be delivered. Just as much as Paul could not thwart these Plans of God in terms of the length of his life, he could also do nothing about the fact that he [would] spread the Message of Christ . . . and come to reflect the Glory of God throughout every facet of his life. Paul could no more change the length of his life than he could change the knowledge he would be given, nor his willingness to obey, nor his choice in reflecting a Righteous, Pure, and Holy life in Jesus Christ. Paul was absolutely controlled by the Holy Spirit, for the Plan of God dictates that all people are "tools" and used by Him according to His full desire and wish.

Acts 9:15-17 NKJV - "But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. 16 "For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake." 17 And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit."

Of course you do. It is His life within us that longs to be with others who are enjoying this divine life.
That is the life of the Body. His Spirit within us longs for this and gravitates our being towards felloship.

That meets our need. But more importantly it meets God's need and God's purpose to build us
up with others into His habitation of God in spirit.

Being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone;
In whom all the building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord;

In whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in spirit. (Eph. 2:20-22)

Amen. Our fellowship with each other is with the Lord himself

1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— 2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things we write to you that [a]your joy may be full.

Fellowship with Him and One Another
5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

John 17:25-26 NLT - 25 "O righteous Father, the world doesn't know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me. 26 I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them."

That phrase, "Then your love for me will be in them" - Imagine that. True Christians will possess the same Love that God has for Jesus within them. The same Love! It is amazing to think about. If the same Love that God has for Jesus is within a person, it means they will Love Jesus the way that God Loves Jesus. It also means that we will think is the same general terms about all things as does the Father. And this Love is described in 1 Corinthians chapter 5, AKA, the Love Chapter. No one can Love in that manner until the Love of Christ is within them, and to possess that same Love, a person MUST receive the Spiritual Circumcision of Christ.

It is truely an amazing request. Yet the entire chapter must have its final manifestation in the New Jerusalem.
A prayer here that the Father will not fail to fulfill.

Yes, we are in the same circulation of the fellowship of life.
Here is light which leads to confession and cleansing.
And that leads to more light. And that leads to deeper confession and closer fellowship.

What a cycle. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
