"It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption."   1Corinthians 1:30

So whenever you feel like you aren't smart enough or good enough, remember that Jesus Christ came and gave you the knowledge of His Father so that you may be able to understand Him. It is not a matter of how smart you are pertaining to this world. Being in Christ gives you a discerning heart so that you may know His will, which is something that is uncommon to this unbelieving world.

"My message and teaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on man's wisdom, but on God's power."   1Corinthians 2:4-5

This is another example of how you shouldn't think too little of yourself for not comforming to society's view of high intelligence. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to demonstrate God's power. You can do His will just like the rest of us can. If you can't figure things out on your own, then it is because you probably shouldn't even be trying to. It says in Proverbs 3:5-6 that God will direct your footsteps if you trust in Him to.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."  Proverbs 3:5-6

So basically that's it. You don't have to be a genious to know God, just learn to lean on Him to help you, don't ever feel like you aren't good enough to do God's will because sometimes God will use you the most for His will.

(Btw, this is the first devotional or whatever you wanna call it I've done online. I found some scripture last night and felt lead to do this. :))

Thanks for sharing that! I can definitely identify with wanting to figure things out on my own. With some situations, it bothers me not having answers. I want to know exactly what God's will is for the eventual outcome of something I want, so I can avoid the painthat comes with pursuing something I really want that He doesn't.

But I've realized that I shouldn't be seeking God's will for what I want, what I will have, or what my future will be, I should just be seeking His will period. Whatever the outcome, whatever He's calling me to do I will be obedient in it. I'm praying for His will to be done in everything. I'm been thinking alot about my future lately..I just want what God wants, I have no idea what He has planned for me so I'm not going to set myself up for anything that's not going to be in His plan because I don't know what His plans are. It's kind of been hard, but recently it's been getting easier as I've gotten to know God more and more everyday. It seems like as the days go by, I'm just overwhelmed and overjoyed with all that God has done already, and I look forward to every morning to see what His will might be that day. It's a great feeling. :)

Amen to that! It's amazing what the Lord does for us once we learn to seek His Will, instead of looking after our own wants and desires.

HEy really awesome devotional! :)

I think alot of people take God the wrong way. They can sometimes think that they're doing what God wants when in reality God just wants them to trust Him first. I think that's one thing that gets most of us to worry about the future too. God takes us on His currnet path but doesn't show our destination (well not yet at least :)). So we should be good little people and trust Him. He knows what He's doing. :)
