i've literally been wanting to learn it since i was little. my dads family is German so it'll be neat to learn the language of my family way back

Out of curiosity, does your Dad speak 'german'? - 'cause it's easiest to Learn...just about anything by *immersion* - you know, Every-day life. This way, your Teacher gets to say: "Here try pronouncing it this way"; things on this order...

Little me, well - was born/raised in "Deutschland" so it's my first language I learned - but having lived in USA for 40 yrs,
Now too often, I beg our 3-musketeers here, to Translate for me; as
many adult-words I didn't learn as a child, and
weil die Deutsche haben andere English Woerter, als iehre Sprache (adopted?? < see, it escapes me, LOL)

Weisst du was ich sagte, Stacey? This last question, literally word-for-word, translated:
"Know you what I said, Stacey?"
