  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey! Thanks for asking... actually, I would say the "Teach Yourself" series is the best one. It has versions for loads of languages and for many different levels and purposes (not just 2 or 3). So total begginers or people who just want to polish their grammar can find the right thing for them. Usually the packages come with a book and 1 or 2 CDs. Any major bookstore should carry them... they're in a clear, plastic package with yellow, white and black graphics/writing. I've used them to help improve my French and they were great. Good luck!! and keep us posted on how you're doing :)

Agreed!
"Teach Yourself" is what I think is the best and most easy myself.

- you can chat with us on CF too - just tell when you are there... personnally i don't go often, it depends when i have time, so you'll need to ask...
