CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was baptised a Lutheran, but never raised in the Christian faith. I'm not yet formally a Catholic, but I will hopefully be received into the Catholic Church some day soon. There are very few Catholics in Norway, but in my hometown is a small Catholic Church. The first hospital in my town was founded and run for many years by the Fransiscans. We also have a Catholic school. So I'm an oddity
. But I was an even bigger oddity the years I was a practising Muslim :o.But back to the Leafs here. Ray and the rest of the Leafs gang. Don't despair. We have a tie now and there is still a chance to beat the Flyers. I only hope that the Leafs don't get to much hung up in that they were beat by the Flyers in last years playoffs.
