In baseball, the play I most love to see is the "sacrifice" -- it' the only game I know where a player can forfiet his turn to advance the position of another player. It's a beautiful thing to see. We live in a society, where like baseball, the sacrifice is rarely seen. The slogan today is "worry about yourself first, and then help others when you can."

I just finished reading this amazing book called "The Road to Reality", written by a man named K.P. Yohannan. I have never read a book that has more impacted my life as a Christian than this one (other than the Bible of course) I read a sentence in the book today that I just can't get out of my head. It says "The measure to which I will manifest the life of Christ is the same measure to which I am willing to put my "self" to death" WOW! did it hit you like it did me? when Jesus walked on earth, God was showing us not only what He was like but also what He wanted man to be like. Jesus had power because He constantly submitted His will to the Fathers. Accepting death to my ego is the only way to manifest the life of Christ. Putting my "self" on the cross is the only way to exchange my life for His. I highly recommend reading the book, if you google it you can find it. It's a free book, it will cost you absolutely NOTHING! -- but it's a book that will transform your thinking.

God bless,
Matt
