I've been to Catholic schools for a majority of my school years and they have the same policies. If you want to work at a Catholic school, you have to serve as a good example of Catholic values to the students.

Somewhat unrelated but I want to say that in Canada, Catholic schools tend to outperform the public schools. During the time I was in public school, they taught elements of the self esteem movement which as seen today didn't do my generation any favours. Meanwhile, the Catholic schools taught Christian values such as empathy and honesty over self esteem. I think this is part of the reason why the Catholic school system in my town consistently outperformed the public school in academics and behavior. I found out from research that if I stayed in the public school system in my town until the day of my graduation, I would have been with the worst generation of students my town has ever seen in my life time. I probably would have never graduated at all because of being bullied into oblivion far worse than the Catholic schools.

While I still had an awful time at the Catholic schools because my disability was still obscure in that time and place, I am thankful that the teachers at least tried to encourage traits in me like generosity and self control instead of giving me a medal for coming in dead last.

Did she have to agree to abide by Catholic principles or values as a condition of her being or remaining hired / employed? I would imagine so.

Here in Canada, they are most certainly required to do so even to absurd degrees.

Well, reading the article, it seems she is pressing false charges. Maybe as an easy pay day?

It will be interesting to see how this turns out.
