I have an urgent prayer request:


One of our dear cf friends, cassie121
is suffering from cancer that has spread to her lungs
and kidneys, and she is awaiting 2 transplants. The
first one will be on June 15. Cassie is not doing well and can use a lot of prayers and encouragement.
She is only 15 years old.

Hello, cygnus!

I don't feel well! I have a cold or a bad allergic reaction or something.....not so hot, eh? I have stuff for it anyway. Just thought I'd share that with you. I hope you're feeling really well and that work's going ok for you.

I read the blurb on the link and it sounds amazing! Ever so much bigger than the photo would seem to indicate. I'm not surprised it freaked you out, looming up suddenly that way.

Taranaki's like that....otherwise known as Mount Egmont here in NZ. It's so often completely hidden in clouds that folk can get a big surprise when the clouds roll back and there he is all of a sudden. ​

That sounds lovely, cyg. If we were to go to the beach today it'd be cold and misty with rain falling all around.

Those piers you have over there are fascinating. I've never been on anything like that. We have wharves, but nothing like that.

Hi JS , how are you , yes it was wonderful yesterday I wish I had stayed over , the beach was so fine and the sea so clean , I may be going back .

Our piers are always an attraction because they usually have a diner and a bar at the end , at least this one did , so we had a lager and watched some people fishing from it , others were taking a trip on a few boats from it .... I hadn't been to Bournemouth since i was a teenager , it's very hilly and the sun was gloroius yesterday , it put a shine on my face

I'm doing ok, thanks.....getting better from that rotten cold I caught last week.

Get a tan, did ya? It sounds lovely, cyg. I can't imagine the size of those piers. But then I find it difficult to imagine the size of a lot of cities the world over. Are you glad you don't live in a huge city, cyg?

yes I am JS , I don't like crowds and cities are good for a visit that's about it. Although where I live is right on the border of Northampton and because my village has been added to by thousands of houses , we are more or less part of Northampton now which is pretty big for a town. The good thing is we are central , so ether way the weather goes we can choose which way to go , North South East or West ... 100 miles from the East Coast and not much more to the South coast where we went yesterday. Just a 2 hour drive and we are on the beach with icecreams and a hotdog.

I'm not too fond of crowds, either, cygnus, though my idea of a crowd probably differs from yours. Again, I find it difficult to imagine being part of the mad crush walking along a street which one sees in photos and on tv that's the norm in many big cities. And the thought of driving in all that congestion is a nightmarish thought.

We have just over 4 million in all of NZ, cygnus.

yes that is 60 million JS for a country similar in size to yours ...... all this government are interested in is taxation , it's all fine and dandy letting everyone and his dog come to live in the UK when there is work , but the mojment we hit recession this country (with it's lack of wisdom) will have to support millions more people than it needed to!

and don't get me started on health and education ...... billions spent and billions wasted!


if global warming is true , and very serious ..... (get ready to pay more TAX everyone) then where are all these new Reservoirs being built today ........... I smell a rat!
