A very good, balanced article on late term abortions. Points out how these are incredibly hard medical decisions, and restrictive laws make it even more difficult. And it describes a budding "perinatal hospice care" alternative.

Should be required reading for those on both sides.

Totally agree. Although, most people who consider themselves pro-choice already know that these procedures are rare, and even more rare is the person who just 'decides', on the fly, to have one (which would be extremely illegal, anyway). Like the article said, it would behoove the anti-choice movement to realize that these are not in the least common, and using "partial-birth abortions" as an argument against all abortion doesn't hold water.
