Latchhooking

Does anyone here do latchhooking? I do and its alot of fun, cheap too, lol, Its something I've been doing since I was little with my mom. If anyone has post me back. TTYL.

I am doing some latchhook work just now - I'm making a cat cushion however it's taking AGES because I'm just new to it and I am doing so many other things right now!!! I really enjoy it though

I tried latch hooking, but every time I did very much, the rough canvas backing would gradually tear the skin on my hands. (especially along the little finger). I must have been doing something wrong. I finally gave up on that particular craft.

If you were doing it from the bottom up, your hand should rub against the yarn, not the backing. I have done a kitten and puppy one and I'm almost done with a cat one, Its fun, plus I love telling people that I like latchhooking and Punk music I get some strange looks that way....I can't figure out why.......

Thanks for the idea, but I usually don't get far enough to have that background, before having a problem.

Hmmmm, maybe you could try like, wearing a thin glove or something untill you get enough done for your hand to lay on.

I used to do latchhooking with my Mom. We worked on a few rather large pieces together. My daughter has done some as well. She has a black wolf one to do that my sister bought her.

A long time ago I made a latch hook with horses on it I don't have it any more

My mom has a big one that we did on the wall over her bed, it's a simple butterfly, and I've been getting my little sister into it, I also got my friend into it at a sleepover, she was doing one of mine of a tiger so I gave it to her.

About three times I have considered doing latchhook, and there are so many beautiful projects in that. One of these days I will! I think it would be tremendous to be able to do.

I have considered it, too, but never actually tried. I'm doing so many other projects right now, and perhaps later on I will do it.
