While my priest did in fact give me his sermon notes, at the very top was a note stating that this was given to me on the condition that it not be distributed in any way.

It's too bad, really. But it was a really great sermon, and I wish I could have shared it with you all.

No, he didn't give me an opportunity. He made it very clear when he gave it to me that it was not to be distributed, and to make sure added the notice on the notes. Ah, well...
