Last weeks fun flyin' FUN-NESS!!

Well, I was FINALLY able to test my gear out at an official airshow--not just going down to an airport to shoot airplanes coming and going.

I was kind of nervous whether I'd be completely pleased with the RebelXT and my new Sigma 50-500mm...

Well... pictures are worth a thousand words... so I'll post this one picture first and let you decide how I felt about the day!

That day I shot 630 pictures over 4 hours... 530 of which were taken during the 2-hour airshow alone!


And this Wednesday I'm heading down to Hillsboro Oregon to shoot their airshow that lats about 6 hours! I'll be hanging around the airport the two days before the show to catch the arrivals... I'm expecting to come back with about 4,000 more pictures under my belt.

So yeah, lemme know what you think!

Wow, very impressive, about 10,000x better then your older pictures! Great detail and sharpness as well! Congrats!

Thank you!! Man, it just makes me wish I had this setup such a long time ago! Man, the pictures I could have had... oh well, time to move on! I really hope I can get some good shots this coming weekend. ESPECIALLY some great AFTERBURNER shots! That'd rock.

Oh and just as a note for those who don't know... I'm sorry for the oddly textured sky. I recently upgraded from Paint Shop Pro 7 where I had my compression settings just perfect... but now they're all messed up. lol
