excellent animation, intriguing plot, good character development, nice music..

i think it's one of the best animes out there. The setting is similar to that in "Castle in the sky" and "Valley of the Wind". You can classify it as a war anime, but it's more than that.

I totally agree! Last Exile is a great show, GONZO Digimation put a lot of effort into this. One of my friends has started buying this since I showed him the fansubs (I'm buying it too, btw).

It's true that it is sort of a 'war anime', but I think the real theme of the anime is being free. Claus and Lavi are two pilots who just want to fly the path of their fathers, but wind up in the middle of a war to free the world from the clutches of the Guild.

This show is one of my favorites, and I would suggest it to just about anyone.

Cool show! Wonderful art! Good plot, though I can't seem to recall how it ended... hmm... well, it's a good show none the less
