  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Anyone watch it? I watched a good portion of last season, and was a bit disappointed when Dat Phan won. Still unsure of how he managed to pull that one off. Anyway...new season has just started. It's been kind of fun watching the auditions. A couple of my favorites in the auditions didn't make it to the final 20 though.

I caught part of it today, I thought it was rather funny, especially the hunched over guy with the long hair.

I haven't started watching this season, but I went to one of the tapings and it was hilarious. So I will be checking it out.

That would be fun, I've always wanted to go to the recording of a television show.

Unfortunately, several of my favorite comics did not make it to the house. My favorites that didn't make it:
Dan Ahdoot
Justin McKinney (didn't even make top 20)
Dan Naturman (a lot of people upset over that one)

Of the ones that made it, I like:
Jeff Heffron
Alonzo Bodden

I don't have a prediction for who I think will actually win yet, I think I'll wait till I see the first week of them in the house.

I was happy to see John crush Bonnie this week...but at the same time I was kind of frustrated that John was so weak minded as to be talked into voting against Bonnie despite the fact that he was good friends with her. It sounded as though he certainly regretted it. Hopefully he'll gain a little self confidence from his win.

I also still really like Alfonso. So after another week, those two still remain my favorites.

even though at times the humor is sexish and crude.. i enjoy this show.......i was truly delited to see bonnie get tossed... jon was way funnier and deserved the win.

i like tammy for her attitude, and corey for his quick wit... that was a hard place to be funny... and he did great in the laundry mat...but my fav is... london......and heffron.....

well bonnie was the one who always went overboard with the sex jokes...I think for the most part, the remaining comics are a bit more tame. I really didn't find Corey all that funny at the laundry-mat, I thought Alonzo was funnier. All Corey did was insult the patrons. But I guess that's what they wanted to hear. So I do give him props coming up with a performance to relate to his audience...he was the only one who did that.

I wasn't a big fan of Dat Phan last season...I would've rather seen Dave Mordel win. But oh well.

As for last night, while I'm not a huge fan of Todd Glass, there were some other people in the house that I would've rather seen get the boot before him...but oh well. At least my 2 faves are still holding their own.

I really like this series - finally a reality show with something *intentionally* funny.... not people laughing at other peoples' expenses.

I was a fan of the Sicilian lady - lots of humourous jokes about the mob, I liked her a lot.
The one comic I couldn't stand... and couldn't figure out why she was "funny" was the black girl who did the "mmmm-hmmm" and the entire set about "sassy" lady comics. I thought that was the dumbest set I'd heard to that point.
I loved the tall black comic though - "Being black and big causes some funny situations sometimes. Like the other day, walking down the street, these old ladies cross the road because I'm one one side of the road and they're scared of me. So I yelled across to them "Ya, and if you watch football, you'd know we're fast too!!"

Yeah, I can't remember her name, but my fiance couldn't stand her either. She was just annoying.

I'm guessing the black guy you're talking about it Corey Holkum...he's still in it. He's okay, but not one of my favorites.

I wanted that big girl...I can't remember her name, maybe Jessica...to get in the house. "PUT ME IN THE HOUSE!!" Hilarious. I think I saw her on a VH1 special about bad celebrity hair. Her comments in "Scandal Hiar" were so funny. Anyone else see that? She was talking about ugly girls who think they're hot, "I am SO hot, just look at my bone structure...I don't even need to wear MAKE-UP!" ooo..I smell a new signature...

Man, I really got sick of watching all this conspiracy during the last episode. But hey...Ant is finally gone! :D Interesting to see if that changes the game at all. I'm just happy to see my favorite comics have been staying out of the conspiring and just having fun with the experience.

I don't know...with Jay London it's hit or miss. Some of his stuff is funny and intelligent...sometimes it's just stupid. I wasn't too upset to see him go other than the fact that he's a real nice guy...and I just felt bad for him.

I think the last one to go should be Tammy...but I don't know if that's how it'll work out. But so far, I haven't really been shocked at anyone who has been voted off. My favorites are still in it...so I'm happy.

I just found this topic: I love Last Comic Standing. My favorites on the show were Todd and Gary so I didn't like when Todd went off; I thought he was funnier. I've also seen Kathleen before so I know her stuff well and she's very good. Heffron is alright too. I was dissapointed that Corey went off last night. I don't think he brought his best act for that one. I try to catch the show every week, but I missed the roast which I heard was great.
