  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

o__O Really?

I've never heard of it...

^_^; If it's not too much trouble... could you post a summary?

Thanks!

Ja!
In the U.S., it was released as Castle in the Sky by Disney/Buena Vista. Below is a brief summary which I borrowed from another website. The animation was quite good for the 80's and you should see it at least once.

"Pazu lives a lonely life. He barely scrapes together a living, until a very special gift falls from the sky. One night on his way home, Pazu sees a girl floating to the earth. Taking her to his house he soon learns that Sheeta holds the key to the ancient city of Laputa, the flying fortress that his father died pursuing. Being the key to such an ancient power, Sheeta is pursued by both the military and pirates. Can Pazu lead them both to Laputa before it is too late?"

In Australia, Laputa was just released on DVD. I had heard a lot about this movie, and I had seen and loved Spirited Away. So I bought the DVD, and I think it is now my favourite Anime movie ever!

I loved Laputa ("Castle in the Sky" in the US). But then again I'm a big fan of Miyzaki. All of his previous movies should be out on DVD in the US by the end of the year, but it'll take a while longer for them to get to Australia. When you get the chance you should also check out:

Princess Mononoke
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Kiki's Delivery Service
My Neighbor Totoro
Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro
Porco Rosso

If you like that go get Nausicaa of the Valley of the wind, that's my fave, from the same guy! (Laputa is up there with it though!)

Yeah, I've seen the DVDs of most of those in the stores here. I haven't seen Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind or My Neighbor Totoro here yet, but I have been hanging to see Totora.

I bought Kiki's Delivery Service along with Laputa, but I haven't been able to watch it yet.
