The fire \ simplest of platonic solids
The complex spontaneously arises
Life comes from fire \ without any creator
And to fire it shall return \ at the end

When my time came \ i crossed the desert

Fire isn't a platonic solid, nor is it simple. It can be considered one of the "four elements", though.

The reason I mention this is because it stopped the flow of the poem with a, "Huh? That's not right". It may seem a quibble, but it's distracting from what you mean to convey.

Actually there is a precise reason for that verse. Someone actually teaches that the tetrahedron is a symbol of the fire element etc. etc.

I'm all for artistic liberty, but there should be a purpose to it. Poetic license or not, a phrase should still make sense within its own context.

Why use the phrase "platonic solid" without regard to what the phrase means? If the poet can explain why he chose that phrase, I'd like to hear it, because it doesn't seem to add anything but confusion to the poem - it interrupts the flow and detracts from his message, or so it seems to me.

If I'm misunderstanding his reason and meaning, I'm open to learning what he did mean and why he chose to phrase it the way he did.

Thank you, I didn't know that. Now it makes sense.

Do you remember who teaches that? I like to learn about symbolism - there is so much to learn. I found this: SYMBOLISM. The platonic solids.

It was in a Royal Ark Chapter book. Consistent with the myth of Tubalcain they teach at a lower level.
