  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Only like martial arts BEFORE "WIRE-FU"! So that means Bruce Lee,and none except Bruce Lee. Getting ready to check out another who doesn't use all that phoney bologna and that is Tony Jaa, in Ong-bak.

I never much cared for Jackie Chan in his 20th Century movies, but I saw an awesome period movie he did called 8 Diagram Pole Fighter.

The Hong Kong period movies, especially from the Shaw Brothers, while cheesy, are my favorites. The absolute best of these is Master Killer also called "36th Chamber of Shaolin". Gordon Liu, who stars as legendary monk San Te appeared in both Kill Bill Vols., neigher of which I can bring myself to watch because I can't stand Tarentino.

Had to turn off Ong-bak. Unbearable sound, with sounds of 2 different people speaking in 2 different languages at once, sounded like an off-kilter echo! Never experienced such a thing in my life,Totally weird! English sub-titles,had words I was not going to sit there and read! ie. bad language

Don't limit yourself.
Wire-Fu can and has at times taken martial arts films to different levels.
It's hit or miss, but if you don't give a movie a chance then it's always a miss.

That's too bad.
I guess it's hard to get around the language problems these days.

Well I did try Crouching Dragon(Tiger?) and it could have been hilarious as Kung Fu Hustle, except it is supposed to be serious! It was unbelievably ridiculous for me, and a total insult to serious Martial Artists as I have read on reviews.
I did like Blood Sport though.
