KOTOR 1 and 2 are still the most interesting games Iv'e played over the last few years. :D

I just love games like this that attempt to deal with moralistic-social challenges, albeit in a fairly simplistic way, aswel as being great fun to play :D

But...Am I the only one who just can't do Darkside? I really tried to be, but I just couldnt do it??? please tell me I'm not the only one........ :sigh:

I only beat KOTOR as darkside and KOTOR 2 as lightside. I don't roleplay nearly as well doing DS, though and always feel that I'm making the dark decisions merely to increase my DS rating. I feel badly when I do something nasty and/or betray someone. I mean when I betrayed the krayt dragon hunter after killing the beast and even Canderous upbraided me, I had to feel like a jerk. :D

That's another reason I'm really looking forward to Bioshock. I can really see myself struggling with the decision to do something bad to give myself a serious powerup.

I can't play dark. Not so much because teh dark choice is morally outrageous, but because usually the dark choice is silly. (and the light choice sometimes is too) Sure, I could screw this person over, but why bother? Maybe I'm too lazy to be a Dark Jedi? And the game wouldn't let me do the "dark" things I did want to do. I wanted to abanon that old witch you have to travel with on some remote planet or kill her just so I wouldn't have to listen her ridiculous pseudo-philosophical ramblings. I ended up a gray jedi in those games.

Lol I agree with you there...In the end I just left Kreia on board to stew in her own cynicism, whilst me, Visas Marr and Bao-Dur had great Fun!

-btw who else has heard of the SLRP (Sith Lord Restoration Project); they are patching up KOTOR 2 so that all the bits that got chopped from the game and going to be put back in there! :D

I didnt like darkside, it just wasn't cool, however if going darkside meant I got more money I did, in the end I ended up as light/gray , the faces of the characters then they went darkside really [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]ed me off as well

I had a problem doing "Dark Side", too. I felt too guilty killing someone for the fun of it. :p

My friend, however, was completely the opposite. When the Cathar in the grove asked my friend to kill her, the first words out of his mouth were, "You don't have to ask me twice!"

However, that was before he knew she could join the party, and ended up kicking himself in the rear when he couldn't beat the last level. He only had Bastila, Himself, and the Mandalorian dude. (I'm not sure why he didn't use Joliee. I think he had already saved the game halfway into the Starforge, and couldn't go back.)

I've been through the first KOTOR approximately three times, though I have yet to beat it on "Dark Side".

As for KOTOR 2, I tried beating it over the summer. I played about two hours every night after midnight, but it wasn't my KOTOR 2 to keep, so I still have to find someone with the game so I can beat it.

My buddy ruined the game for me by straight-up telling me that I was Revan!!!!!!!

I hear talks of a KOTOR 3......................

Cool! I would love to see Bioware take back the reins if that is true....mainly because it would great to see KOTOR have the same treatment as Neverwinter Nights:
with a full editing facility and multiplayer options!

Juhani and Jolee (and Bastila) are my fave characters from KOTOR 1. I nearly always use Juhani to rescue everyone else on the Leviathan Breakout mission, and Jolee is such a comedy character, as is Bastila, cause you can always have fun ragging them about things (even though I love them to bits lol!). The sub-story plot with Bastila and her Mum is one of my faves too!

"Insanity" was always my favorite force power. One could just walk into a room full of dark Jedi, raise one's hand into the air, then proceed to slice and dice without hinderance.

(Stasis Field did the exact same thing, but I like watching my opponents grab their heads in terror):p

The only force power I ever used (aside from healing) was the one where you knocked people down. "force wave" IIRC.

Insanity doesn't work on our mechanical friends now does it? :p ;)
