I played KOTOR 1 as a light-side character.

I saved the game during a pivotal point (where your character must make a MAJOR decision). That way, I was able to load the game from that spot and see what the ending was like if I finished on the dark side.

I kept telling myself that I would start over once complete and play the game entirely as a darksider, but I didn't have the energy to put in another 40+ hours into it.

I'm now playing KOTOR 2, and again, I've started on the light-side. I'm really tempted to start over and do dark-side. It's a lot different this time around... they've added some interesting features to the sequel that involve how much favour you gain with each of your teammates.

Oh, wow, it sounds awesome. I've GOT to get this game. Soon.

It is. Making a "light-side" choice may gain you favour with one person, but lose you favour with another... depending on their alignment.

But I'm still REALLY early in the game, so I have a lot more to discover.

I played through the first one as light-side. I've always played games like that as the light side, including other jedi-knight-related games, Fable, and stuff like that. And I always say to myself "I'll play it twice, first as the light side and second as the dark side," but I never really get around to playing the dark side.

I have yet to get KOTOR 2, but that one is near the top priority of games to get (I kick myself for forgetting to ask for it for Christmas).

i'm on my thrid time of doing kotor 1 and i've finished it once with light and then with dark, I found the light side more challenging due to the fact that the dark side is easy to get points (just act nasty) where as the light side is a little more difficult, i'm going for the third ending, has anyone seen it? (before you enter the door to malak at the end have one pad in port 1 and one in port 4, press and hold the two triggers and Y on the two pads, the defeat malak) thats ment to open a secret ending.
As for kotor 2, its not out till feb in the UK :( which sucks but it will be mine very soooon hehehehe.

For those of you with KOTOR 2, have any of you tried playing the Republic Commando demo that comes with the game?

I don't know if it's just because I'm not into shooter games, but I find that it really stinks! If anything, that demo convinced me that I'd never want to buy that game.

I played through the first KotOR on the light side first. I started playing through again on the dark side, but stopped a few hours in, since nothing much changes.

I'm now playing through KotOR II on the light side. It seems like Obsidian made a lot of changes with influence and light/dark side stuff, so this time, I think I'll play through the whole game on the dark side after I finish it on the light.

The dialogue in these games is hilarious. :)

I played the lightside and haven't had the time to play it again through on the darkside. My friend played the darkside and then the lightside and said darkside was more fun and easier because you got to kill people instead of always helping them or giving them money.
