  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Did everyone here about Korn's ex-guitarist quiting the band? Do you think he will get into a Christian band? I have loved Korn for a while then got into church and started not liking them. But when i found out that the guitarist was leaving the band for Christ. I was extremely happy and hoping that he will get into a Christian Rock band.

I've just seen the NME (British music paper) article from last week about this, with an amusing headline - "God will forgive everything, apparently...but this?" Whatever he does next will be interesting.

If he's SMART, he'll stay away from Christian music altogether.

Why would he stay away from Christian music? I think he would be better off in Christian music.

Who needs to hear his message? Christendom in their bubble, or the world that knew who he used to be, and would could benefit more by hearing what he has to say now? In addition, which avenue would allow him a larger scope of exposure in the way of marketing, distribution, etc.?

Aside from all that, getting signed to a Christian label would probably be the death of his career.

I totally disagree. I think that if/when he gets into a Christian band it will open more people eyes that knew what he did to see what Jesus has done for them.
