Do you know God?

Many people today go to church on Sunday to visit with and to worship God. In my fifteen years as a Christian I have managed to go from Sunday worship to seven day a week fellowship with my Lord and I know that each of you can do the same thing because that is exactly what God wants from us. Think about it, God created Adam and then walked with him everyday. God did not just visit with Adam once a week and today the Holy Spirit is in us 365 days a year.

When I get up in the morning I meet with God before I begin working. Sometimes all I do is to thank Him for loving me and at other times I have a long list of problems that I need His help with, but no matter which it is, I enjoy the fellowship with the Lord just the same. Sometimes as I finish the day I begin to pray lying on my back in bed and as I pray I fall asleep. Now, to some this will sound terrible but think for just a moment, falling asleep in the arms of God! Could anything possibly compare for love and trust? The security of this is beyond belief, my Lord loves me and is protecting me as I drift off.

I am a blessed man because we have in the Houston area a missionary radio station, KHCB. As I drive my truck and deliver concrete to the customers I can be blessed by the Word of God all day long and I am thus constantly reminded that my Lord is at my side. I contribute much of my growth in Christ to the fact that I am studying the scriptures as much as 70 hours a week and never less than 10 hours a week. If you want to know God you must study His Word and tapes, CDs and radio are nothing short of wonderful.

One of the best tools I own is a free program called e-Sword. This program is available at e-sword.net
and is parceled into small programs so that each persons Bible Study Program can be individually designed by just picking what versions, commentaries, dictionaries and maps you choose to have. Since it is broken into small downloads it is also practical for the dial-up user.

My prayer for each of you is that you will seek an ever increasing personal relationship with God and that none of you will fall into the feel good esoteric experience theology of today's world.

God bless,

Bill
