  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am looking for a fairly plain and simple pattern for a burial gown for a 26 week prem baby girl. I wonder if anyone could help me with this please?

Thank you and God Bless

Here is another at Care Wear Patterns. The smallest looks like it could be reduced by just a few stitches. And/or you could use a few sizes smaller needles to accomplish the size you need. Thats what I usually do when I need to make something smaller than the pattern allows.

And this one at GeoCities, and another. They are extra small and look pretty simple and quick.

Thank you for your help. I eventually found a pattern and knitted it in 3 ply rather than the 4 ply the pattern stated. It is now on its way by air mail. I think it should fit ok. It ties at the back so the sizing is fairly flexible.

Thank you again,

Blessings

I found a pattern online which I adapted by knitting it in 3 ply yarn and it turned out quite well. I have also just finished knitting another, because I am not too sure of babys size, and it is a pattern I found in a pattern book by Sirdar. The pattern book is called Guys and Dolls and the number is H117. I have knitted the nightdress in this pattern book but have left the back open from the 2 buttons at the top. This pattern was for double knit yarn but I made it in 4 ply and I think it has worked out fairly well for size. At least the mom has a choice.

Many thanks for all your help.

God Bless you.
