The spirit pushed Amphion's mind to the brink, it needed to think. Aaron's blade was strong, strong enough to be unique, which meant that he was a nobody, which meant that-he turned Amphion's head around...

"Now seems as good a time as any," said Vangel as he dropped to the ground in front of Amphion, using his powers to send him sliding backwards, thirty feet away. Vangel's gray eyes shifted with his head to look at Aaron and Nami as he said, "We apologize for our absence, Master Aaron, Miss Nami," Vangel said, his voice splitting into two seperate but unified voices, easily distinguishable as both Vangel's and Zi's voices. "We had some affairs to put it in order, though not enough to delay us long." Vangel turned back to face Amphion, his hands glowing white.

"Who's your friend?"

"This is Amphion....He journeyed with us when I retrieved my heart, but he disappeared afterward. We haven't seen him in a while....And appanrently, that sword has some sort of power that lets it control his body, like a second spirit...." Aaron explained, while holdin Amphion back. The Taoist finished preparing, and let loose several orbs of darkness and a single beam of white energy. The dark orbs circled around Amphion as the energy beam held him in the air. The dark orbs collided into his body, resulting in a small compact explosion between the two energies.

"That won't be enough to beat him. My Taoist Nobodies are powerful with the regaining of my heart, but not enough to kill someone on our level...." Aaron murmured.

"Or higher than that." he thought to himself.

Vangel tilted his head back and forth as he thought. "Two spirits, hm? Sort of like myself. This intrigues me..." Zi added, "Glad we didn't end up like that." Vangel nodded and said, "Mm... We're lucky not to have gone insane whenever we fused, you're right. If we had, I doubt any of these ones could've stopped us." Vangel sighed and rolled his eyes. "Well, let us hope that this one isn't anywhere near our power level, as unlikely as that may seem." Vangel walked backwards, joining Nami and Aaron.

"Who gets to finish him off?" Zi asked. Vangel shrugged. "I believe they want to keep him alive," he replied. "They always do..." Zi groaned.

Nami let out a small chuckle while looking up into the sky. "It's my element as well...and you're invading it!" She shouted to the sky, a bolt of lightning picking her up into the clouds. As she entered the clouds, rain began to fall heavily on the group. Using her power, Nami searched the lightning strikes for what felt like Amphion. She saw a strike go down and attack Aaron, the angel's power lashing out. Going down the same bolt as Amphion, she "grabbed" onto him and brought him back up into the clouds. Stay off of him.

Throwing Amphion to the ground, the angel came out of the clouds. "You're stupid, Amphion!" called out the femme, fire leaping from her hands in his general direction.

Vangel shook his head and mumbled, "I thought you said they wanted him to stay alive?"

"I thought they did. It seemed they did."

"Well, whatever. I want to pulverize something today, and this guy'll do."

"I think Miss Nami has control of the situation."

"You know, you're a real killjoy."

Vangel smiled slightly. "I've been told that before."

"I havn't even cast a complicated spell yet, and the lot of you are excited about how easy I'll be to defeat?" he put his hands forward, and two blue ghost like figures flew from his hands and flew in circles around him, absobing the fire blast, "Slous rieht yortsed, stirips!" one of the ghosts flew at Aaron, flying through Vangel/Zi to get to him.

"He's focusing on me for some reason....but why?" Aaron thought to himself. He readied a small fire blast to attack the ghost, but the ghost became intangible, and the ghost passed through it.

"Darn....Nothing works!!" Aaron thought to himself.

Aaron leapt backwards, dodging the two ghosts. "I don't know exactly what these things do, so....."

Aaron opened his palm, a seed laying there in the center. Aaron threw the seed in the general direction of Amphion, and crouched low to the ground, his hand glowing green with energy. A green energy wave crackled through the ground, reaching the seed and causing it to sprout into an enormous tree. The tree wrapped around Amphion, holding him to it, and restricting his arms.

"Nami, take the sword." Aaron said.

Vangel didn't even flinch when the ghost went through him. "I believe that spirits are outside our range of control..."

"Well, you never know. We did gain control of a big ol' Soul once. Does that count?"

Vangel shrugged. "I'm not sure," he said, his sword flashing red, then glowing blue again. "But I do know that this Amphion fellow is quite the annoyance. Yes?"

Zi grinned. "Yes."

Vangel nodded and walked over near Amphion. "We didn't even get to have any fun!" Zi whined.

The two gohosts dispersed as soon as Amphion broke his consontration, "If you take the sword-" he suddenly froze, his eyes glazing over, and the flooding with his ussual brown color, "Good call Aaron! Hurry take the sword before he take's back control and-" his eyes quickly flooded with a deep blue color, and his sword, almost falling from his hand, crackled with electricity, "Touch it and see what happens," he said with a sly smile, "I don't need this body, or even the sword, for that matter. You learn patience after a few thousand years, and if I have too, I can wait for your corpeses to wither beyond revival, so, if I force your friends spirit to come with me, he'll be bbeyond your power, and within my grasp, so make a choice: let me leave, or kill your friend, and let me leave. So, what's it gonna be?"

Vangel gave raised eyebrow in response to Amphion-- or rather, the crazed spirit possessing Amphion. "So what's the plan, V?" I'm not entirely sure... "He could be bluffing." He's not bluffing. "How do you know?" Spirits don't generally bluff, in my experience. "You have experience with spirits?" Somewhat. "Whadda' we do, then?" Let him go-- for now. You and I will follow him while the others continue on with their business. The moment the spirit loses control, we strike. "Sounds good to me."

Master Aaron, Vangel spoke into Aaron's mind, Let him go-- Zi and I will follow him and do our best to wrench the spirit from his body.

Looking at the ghosts coming from around them back into their creator, the angel scoffed at Aaron's request to take the sword. "Are you kidding? I don't want anything to happen to me," she commented while taking out her own sword, it crackling with white energy. "I won't let you leave," she stated with confidence, walking in front of the possessed sword. Her own weapon then began to glow with a holy light that came from Nami's heart, the same heart being reflected in her eyes. This is worth a try...Ansem could help us get his spirit back... she whispered into Aaron's mind before stabbing the sword at the center of the hilt, the holy energy shooting itself from the possessed sword in an attempt to expel the spirits out of it.

Zi sighed. "Does she ever listen to reason?" Someone with access to my memories should know better than to think that. "True." Vangel shrugged. Who knows. Maybe it'll work. "Or not." Or not.

Amphion screamed words in anger and pain "Smart, but not smart enough, only a part of me lies within the blade, now, stand back and release me, or say goodbye to your friend!" he smiled with a knowing look in his eyes, "Check and mate!"

Vangel shook his head. "Let's not wait. Ready?" Zi grinned, though no one was able to see his face. "Ready." Vangel nodded and pointed straight at Amphion. "Hold it!" he shouted, walking forward. "You're not going anywhere, and I know exactly why." Vangel smirked and continued, "This body you're inhabiting? He's mortal. In case you've forgotten, this means that he will eventually starve, dehydrate, or--" Vangel stopped smiling here, "--or, I can suffocate him without a second thought." Vangel resumed his smirking before saying, "And that means that you've got a ticking flesh time-bomb on your hands. As soon as he dies, you're out of a body to live in, and you go back to your little sword. I believe that, friend, is check and mate."

"Fine, I see I play with a worthy opponent, but I know your bluffing. That's thing about morals, you just are naturally at a disadvantage..." Amphion smiled, "I doubt your friends would appreciate the death of this flesh, and as you have pointed out, neither would I, so, I have a propisition: You will have your friend, but...," he smirked agian, showing his teeth with pride, "You," he nooded towards Aaron, "I am, a collector of sorts, and inhuman breath can be very valuable, I will lean a peice of my self, out of myseelf, out, and collect it, then I will give you your friend. We'll make it magically bonding, deal?

Nami looked over at Zi/Vangel then let a smirk creep onto her lips. There was no way she was going to let him have Aaron. "Over my dead body," she exclaimed, giving the possessed Amphion a matronly look while stepping in front of Aaron. "If you want inhuman breath, I have someone who doesn't even compare to Aaron. In fact, she doesn't even bleed," she explained, raising one hand in a summoning motion. From her shadow rose the young Yami, her body pitch black like a shadow heartless. Locking her yellow gaze on the new Amphion, she tilted her head in confusion. "Okay?" she asked while pointing towards the bound man, Nami shaking her head. "This is Yami. She isn't a heartless nor a nobody. We haven't figured out what she is yet."

"Inhuman breath? Sorry, I'm a mortal like everyone else now, Amphion. I don't have the deccelerated aging of a Nobody anymore. I regained my heart. I'm no longer inhuman....Unless you count my strength." Aaron said.

"Your wrong about that. Vangel has no idea who you are, and, even though we'd be upset over losing a friend, we'd know it was for the greater good....."

"Wait. Hold on a second. Didn't Amphion mention a parallel dimension where I was evil, Ty was dead, and Nami was leading an impossible resistance force against me?" Aaron thought.

He felt a strange twinge of guilt. Killing Amphion would prevent his dimension--and his sister--from being saved.

"You won't have me. Not unless you can kill me...." Aaron said. He exuded his power, sending Vangel and Nami flying bacxkwards down the alleyway. He erected a barrier of interlying layers of darkness and light energy, preventing Nami or Vangel from getting through.

"Amphion....Or, rather, the sword Spirit....Tell me. Is this about the parallel dimension? Are you what caued me to become evil and kill Ty and destroy all worlds?!" Aaron asked. He raised his sword in a fighting stance, but he felt weak.

"Why does it feel like I'm running on empty?!" he thought to himself.
