No, but the summary looks right. "Calvinism" is not Calvin's major emphasis. At a certain point we are presented with the question of why some people believe and some don't. In the end we have to say that it's God's plan. But Jesus talked about it at most in a few hints, primarily on John. We really want to start the Gospel by saying that Jesus came so we could have life, not with the 5 points.

If you read Calvin, the Puritans, etc. you know they are all about God and not Calvinism. Reformed theology is not about theology for the sake of theology, but theology for the glory of God and the proclamation of the Gospel.

This book is a reminder to look through the windshield (Reformed theology) for a better view of God and not at the windshield (Calvinism).


That's pretty much it.


You can read it one sitting (I did).
