  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

oh i got the tribute part. a few scenes did make me laugh and a few did come to gether well. but what i felt was the biggest disappointed was that bill was the guy world renound for his role as the 'kung fu' guy..
the whole movie theirs training really hard for kung fu and learning how to fight..and at the end of the flick bill mr kung fu doenst fight at all. it as a soap oprah. i think ill buy it when it comes out on dvd just to have something to think about. the dialoge was excellent at times..but other times they had scenes that clearly didnt even need to be in the movie

There wasn't much fighting? I thought it was sposed to be uber violent?

Vol. 1 was, but Vol. 2 less so. I would have like to see the two volumes cut together as one movie the way Tarantino origionally intended. It might "taste" better that way.

If you were going to Kill Bill: Volume 2 to get your violence fix, you weren't going to KB:V2 for the any of the right reasons. Kill Bill isn't about violence. Yes, there's a large amount of satirical violence in Volume 1, but that's not what makes Kill Bill such an awesome movie. The music, the themes, the satire, the tributes, everything about it just worked together so beautifully! Volume 1 would have been just as great without all the mock violence, in my opinion.

If you thought KBII was boring, I recommed Ritalin. You must have ADD. One of the best movies I've ever seen in my life. What movie of that genre has brought that much emotion to play and pulled it off that you can remember? Awesome....just awesome.

It was slower than Vol. I. It explains why some things happen in part 1. Best move was when The Bride tears out Elle's other eye. The ending was pretty lame. No real clash of the titans type fighting.
New guy here checking out the boards and stumbled upon this thread. I have to agree with you 100% on your comments. I also thought the pacing and editing did a complete change from Vol.1. These two films were shot as one and QT said in a recent interview that he plans to cut them together and release them in the ArtHouses around the country as 1 long film. I enjoyed the first volume, but I just couldn't get into the 2nd one. I think a version cut together will solve some the pacing problems that caused vol2 to drag.
