  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I can't help it, I loved Kill Bill vol. 1. The killing was so silly, made me laugh out loud the whole time. Plus, it was a masterpiece... almost all of the shots were genius in my eyes. Could have done without the anime scene, but hey, it was a good change of pace.
Haven't seen vol. 2 yet, sadly, but I will rent it and enjoy :)

I have seen both and have part one on DVD. Its an excellent film, violent yes but silly violent...like when she slices someones arm off you see this really cheesy blood spouting out...QT was doing that sort of thing deliberatly, its a representation of hong kong action flicks.

The pure genius of these two films is astounding. The ridiculous amount of sexual symbollism and themes of female empowerment are really interesting to dissect. There are so many little touches that just make my jaw drop. (read the name of the cereal that Vernita Green has her gun hidden in and watch the TV in part 2 when the Bride is coming downstairs to confront Bill)

The cinematography was Tarantino's best by far. He is the only director who has ever made me laugh with a camera movement.

The blood was a bit much because there are many people who get grossed out by that when they otherwise would have appreciated this incredible movie. But nontheless I understand why he put it in there. No one in the theatre when I watched this the first time got it so I was laughing to the point of hyperventilation while everyone else was shifting nervously.

QT is one of my favourite directors. i love the ways he thinks up for people to be killed. i was kinda wondering what was gonna happen to the last 3 victims on her list in kill bill 2, and how kiddo could get her revenge and still out do the efforts in KB1. it was absolute genius and kept you guessing the whole way through. i can't believe i didn't see the five point palm heart exploding technique coming at the end. i didn't know what to think of bill. you wanted to love him, and he tried so hard with his sentimental claptrap, but then i just love uma more, so it was easy.
brilliant movie, can't wait for another QT flick.
