Can anyone suggest a kid's Bible, my five year old is interested in reading and hearing more Bible stories...any with pictures? Something that may have a cool look to it?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do you want a full Bible, or a book of Bible stories? My kids really like the Pray & Play Bible. It's got about a dozen Bible stories with prayers, songs, games, and activities for each one.
But Lifeway Christian Bookstore sells many storybook Bibles for children, with pictures and simple text. I can't find it on their website, but I've seen stacks of these cute picture Bibles at the local store.

There is one that my children loved when they were younger:
"My First Study Bible ~ Exploring God's Word On My Own!"
It has both old Testament and New Testament short stories, lots of pictures and the thing that I like about it, is that at the end of each story they have a box that is titled "Think About This" and it gives the child something to think about that is relative to the story they just read.
My son is 10 and he still likes reading it, even though he has another Bible designed for older children.

The Children's Bible Story Book is the one I grew up with. I don't know if the illustrations have changed any but then they were a little much for me. I just bought the Little Kids Adventure Bible for my three year old who has a good attention span. There are few if any illustrations in it but my seven year old likes it more than her illustrated Bible and reads it to her little sister! Yeah!
