Hi all,
Syra here. I've been lurking the forums for a bit and thought it was time to stick my head out and introduce myself.
I'm Syra, from New Zealand, in my late 30's. I'm overall new to Christianity, although I attended weekly bible class and a broadly non-denominational but mostly Anglican afterschool 'sunday' school (except it was on a monday) at elementary school, and a youth group as a tween. Despite this, I came from a very atheist family, and I was never baptised. This is something I intend to work towards but not to rush into.
Recently I felt drawn (redrawn?) towards Christianity and I realised that I had to follow where I was obviously being called. Firstly through investigating Quakerism, attending some meetings online and in person, then Wesleyan Methodism, where I have started attending a small, very welcoming local Wesleyan Methodist church, which feels right to me, mostly aligns to my beliefs and where I think I will stay.
