  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Excellent! This is what I was looking for:

Leader May the Bishops and leaders of our churches have wisdom and speak with one voice.

People Amen. Lord have mercy.

Leader May the leaders of our country rule with righteousness.

People Amen. Lord have mercy.

Leader May justice be our shield and defender.

People Amen. Lord have mercy.

Leader May the country have peace and the people be blessed.

People Amen. Lord have mercy.

Leader May the flocks and the herds prosper and the fish abound in our lakes.

People Amen. Lord have mercy.

Leader May the fields be fertile and the harvest plentiful.

People Amen. Lord have mercy.

Leader May we and our enemies turn towards peace.

People Amen. Lord have mercy.

Leader May the love of the Father touch the lonely, the bereaved and the suffering.

People Amen. Lord have mercy.

Leader May the path of the world be swept of all dangers.

People Hallelujah. The Lord of Mercy is with us.

here is what the AMiA website has, btw.

Yes, those are liturgies posted on the AMiA website, but I was only saying that the presentation of those liturgies on the AMiA website doesn't mean that these parishes in the Americas use them for their own worship services, in case any reader gets the wrong impression about the origins of AMiA and what, therefore, worship in America in one of the AMiA parishes is like.

That's true. It could be confusing/misleading.
Sorry for any potential mix ups.
