CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

O Most Holy Theotokos, Virgin Mother of God, we run to you now most fervently as sinners and lowly ones, crying from the depths of our souls for the people of Kenya.
Lady, come and help them; have compassion upon those who dwell in the shadow of hunger and the grip of physical pain.
As you are the "Birthgiver of the Good" and the "Cause of all that is good," we entreat you to disperse the storm of grief and the inward confusion caused by scarcity and affliction.
You who carried the Christ, who is mighty in power, pour forth from your great abundance of kindness a relief for the hungry and a balm for those in agony.
Look upon the grave illnesses and the stings of poverty that afflict your servants in Kenya, and heal the cause of their suffering, for you are an "unshakable wall" and a "merciful spring" for all mankind.
Deliver them from the perils of famine and the corruption of sickness, and grant them the peace of your Son, which surpasses all thought.
