Geezzzz you guys make me feel so stupid lol. I'm so worthless.

Look, while I'm in class and these professors feed me all these lies that gender is a social construct, and homosexualty is natural I have to think what other lies are being told by "science".

You are deliberating choosing to be ignorant of basic science, history, and sociology. Why? Learning is fun.

I meant that from a sociological perspective. I've already stated I don't know much about natural sciences and their theory.

And yet you feel competent to tell us it is "political" and that biologists are simply philosophers?

Your arrogance offends me.
Don't let it bother you, AP.

People come here, vent their anger & frustration out on people, then move on; probably to another site to do the same thing.

They may come back after awhile, or they may not.

You might even have one or two stalkers for a time, who knows?

It's fine lol. I like when people look down upon me, and criticize because I'm not equally as intellegent.....yet. This makes good practice for when I challenge others in the academic environment though!!

Honestly, I could care less. I'm a sociology major so I don't know the exacts about natural science because it's pretty boring to me.
...

I am ignorant I guess when it comes to this type of science, but I won't be as ignorant to say it is 100% truth.

Ya know, a problem I see again and again, in some groups more than others, is not just ignorance, but arrogant pride in being ignorant. People who seem to relish the fact that they are completely stupid, and intentionally stay that way instead of putting forth effort to learn. A cause of this, or perhaps an effect, is that these people are not just ignorant, but they are ignorant of how massively ignorant they are – so maybe those people are ignorant squared.

They don’t seem to realize (or maybe they intentionally deny) that in nearly every field, there are many people who have slaved for years, building a bank of knowledge and understanding that is then built further by even more effort and research – people standing on the shoulders of giants.

It seems to me that it is because these arrogant, ignorant squared people are so common in America, that America is heading downhill with no future. In China, India, and other countries, the kids are taught to work hard to learn, write well, excel at the University, and to know science and math. Here, they are often taught (by example) to make unsupported statements in poor English that have been proven wrong by decades of research, and then to stubbornly repeat them, even after being corrected, while every denying that the experts in the field know more than they, without even lifting a finger to go and check before posting something as fact. Those outside the US are teaching their kids how to excel in math and science, and we are teaching ours how to be boors. Faced with that situation, America, and the South in particular, seem doomed to poverty and ruin in the next 30 years.

AP26, imagine how your denial of science looks - just like someone going around saying "cancer, oh yeah, that's just a hoax drempt up by those scientists!" or any of the (real) lines in my .sig.

Just because you throw in some $*{ *}!<£\ signs to confuse me probably won't change my mind.

You seriously think that math is a conspiracy to fool you, instead of being one of our best tools for understanding the real world? Oh yeah, you bought the Protocols line, silly me.

What on earth does it mean to say you know more about sciences from a sociological point of view? You've admitted you know nothing of these sciences.

I'm sure you will handily defeat your opponent as soon as you bring out the protocols. They are a well respected source for anti-Semitic conspiracy mongering.

Well, you have a good attitude.

And don't compare your intellect with theirs.

You may not know what they know, but they don't know what you know, either.

And speak of "knowing" ... one of my favorite mantras about myself is: "I was born ignorant, and I'll die ignorant."

That usually breeds a few comments worth staying up to read. ;)
